Called to see if I could my prescription filled here because my pharmacy was out of it. Spoke to this guy on the phone, told him my prescription and then he asked my address. I'm thinking it's related to getting my meds filled. NOPE. He said sorry you live to far, (I live 5 min drive away) and that he had a limited supply of it. Told me he was sorry, I said for what? Highly recommended. Small pharmacy with a strong connection to the neighborhood and their regular customers. Extremely attentive and patient with everyone. I went in there initially to get photocopies made of some documents for a citizenship application. The woman behind the counter patiently helped me get the packet of document copies together for about 15 minutes, and the total was $2. I was dumbfounded. Amazing place. I absolutely love this pharmacy. It's a real neighborhood pharmacy, and their customer service cannot be beat. I'm moving a little but out of range, and I take A LOT of different medications. I was very sad to realize I'd have to leave them after having built up a relationship there, only to find out they deliver! Be aware that don't have a ton of room for stock, but they seriously magically always seem to have the random ailment treatments I need. This is definitely somewhere I have been going for a while. There is great communication when I was pregnant they was willing to work with my husband so that he can get the medication for me. There are multilingual so that's awesome. Never had a problem with anything they also do printing , fax etc. read more

I live right in the neighborhood so this is my go-to pharmacy. The staff is courteous and prompt, and the pharmacists are excellent at their job and friendly. They fill orders quickly, make the necessary calls as needed to either the dr or insurance, and really do follow up with you. I like supporting local business and not major chains. read more

this is the best pharmacy in the world - literally. first of all, the sweetest people who really care about their community. i have been going for maybe 3 years now and i have never once had an issue. in the past when i went to big chains there was always some big issue and weird scarcity around access to meds. so grateful that phase of my life is over. i called in refills today and one of them was a little complicated.. insurance was trying to reject because i take two dosages of the same med. they resolved it in under a minute. i don't know how they do it but they're incredible. also they stock basically all of the necessities i need in a pharmacy like toiletries etc and i'm glad to be able to get those basics from a local business in my neighborhood. thank you mg!! so grateful for everyone who works to make this space the gem that it is. read more

The truth is I passed ten or twenty other pharmacies before I reached MG, but it was totally worth going out of my way. This place is everything you want in a pharmacy: courteous, professional, and efficient. In addition, it's clean and neat and an aura of calm prevails. Beyond that, it's great to be able to support an independent business when chains seem to be taking over the city (chains that take their profits out of the community and care not at all about customer service). The pharmacy and staff at MG is wonderful. Their customer service is great - after a few times filling a prescription there, both the cashier and pharmacist recognized me by face and knew the medications I was there to fill because of previous orders. They are very helpful and accommodating and are quick to fix any issues a customer may have. If you are unable to wait the 10-15 minutes it usually takes them to fill a new prescription, they also deliver! read more

I had TWO teeth pulled (ouch!) in one day and had a prescription for a "controlled substance" pain killer. I usually go to Walgreens by my house but those jerks didn't have it. Not only that, but when I asked them to check other Walgreens locations in the area, they refused. I had to call around and take the train to several different Walgreens with a bloody mouth, in excruciating pain just to be told they didn't have it and my prescription could not be filled... And then I stumbled upon MG Pharmacy. Thank GOD. 1. They had what I needed. 2. The employees were super kind. Very hospitable and understanding. 3. I was in and out in 5 minutes. Ever since MG opened a few years ago, I have not filled my prescriptions anywhere else. The staff is friendly and resourceful; on the busiest days service is quick, the pharmacists give me their undivided attention and always have a solution when I have issues with insurance. Their prices for medication that my insurance won't cover are the lowest I've ever encountered. They call me when they receive and fill my prescriptions, so I never have to wait in line...they've always respected time and budget constraints, of which, I have many. They're also discreet, accommodating me if I can't pick up my Rx myself by allowing my assistant, spouse etc, to get my meds for me, when Duane Reade, Walgreens, CVS and the other big chains won't allow it. This small business is worth supporting. It's amazing how a simple errand can become such a time-consuming, confusing, inflexible CHORE when you're dealing with the big chain pharmacies...these folks will never make you sicker waiting for your meds! read more
