    Dawn Duncan is the ABSOLUSTE worst property manager I have ever encountered. This company is…read moreincompetent to the nth degree. Numerous unanswered phone calls and emails. They apparently dont know how to add over there becuase they are trying to chage me 60% for dues this year when the budget says the increase will be 10%. I did get thrugh to another employee Jasmine, and she either doesnt understand english or doesnt understand how to add and subtract because she added an additional 60% to my dues. The snow folks they use dont show up until the afternoon and DESTROY the lawns even though the snow poles are out to guide them. That is if they even do the driveways. They skip it alot if a car is in the drive. Sorry, you should still be plowing as much of the drive as possible. Not very helpful when you have to leave your house in the morning. They must have hired 5 year olds to trim the tress that, by the way did NOT need it, and now they all look slike sh*t. They also NEVER provide notice of work being done on the property. If someone is going to be working right outside my door or on the roof, I want to know before hand. Not a smart move for the management company. They are putting their contractors in danger. Stay as far away from this company as possible.

    This company is beyond incompetent. The manager recently told us we were low on funds and needed a…read morespecial assessment. I asked her to send me all overdue ledgers. She sent several. I messaged all those people and got some of them to pay. One simply said she needed an invoice that management wouldn't provide. I got management to send it and she paid. Essentially, I as the board member am doing what management should be doing. Another account has a balance of about $5,000. And the owner of the unit doesn't know what it's for so I asked management to explain the charge. It has been 2 months now and still no explanation in spite of me emailing them several times. Mind you this charge is from like 5 years ago. On top of this, this management company consistently tries to bill me for issues at the building and it's the reason I ran for the board. One time a leak originated on the 3rd floor, leaked to the 2nd, and ended up in my unit on the first. The plumber sent by management said the leak came from the 3rd floor but the management company sent me a bill and said it originated in my unit alone. Fast forward to today, and the management company is trying to do that again. They are trying to pin $4000 on to my account instead of the unit where the work was done. The board voted and we told management to place the charges on the unit where the work was done. I've been emailing management for 2 months asking if this has been done. At first, they claimed that they don't have the invoices yet, which was a lie because they had already sent them to me. Yesterday, they claimed that the minutes of the board meeting don't show such a vote ever took place. So in addition to being completely incompetent, they will also lie to unit owners and even the board president. I would steer clear of this company. What they need is a management company to manage their incompetence, not be providing management services. I'm going their job for them anyways.

I want to add that Community Association Manager Kathleen Markland has been very helpful in finally getting this issue resolved. It was communicated that Associa recently underwent new management which was partly why there was such a long delay. Other factors included waiting for the ideal weather temperature to do the project, the priority of projects Associa needed to address, etc. I suggested to Kathleen in the future to communicate all this to clients like myself. If you look at my prior updates to this review, there was a consistent lack of communication and follow-up at Associa that I hope going forward is finally resolved.

It has now been over 2 weeks and there is damage to our property due to the neglect of the matter. This is my first time experiencing an association that does not provide the contact info to the community manager. My previous condo handled everything quick and prompt.     Our New Home: Beech Pointe Apartments My wife and I just…read moremoved into Beech Pointe Apartments on the first of the month, and right away, we were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome we received from our neighbors. In just one week, we talked to more people than we had in three years at our old place! The community here is incredibly friendly and diverse, which we absolutely love. Our first impression of the apartment was fantastic. I'm quite observant, so it was clear that whoever repainted the walls and ceiling did an exemplary job. The carpets and appliances were clean, there were no funky smells, and nothing was broken or missing. We were also pleasantly surprised to find nice-sized 4x4x12 storage units in the basement garage for residents to use and a beautiful pond with wildlife in the back, complete with a walk/bike path. The location is perfect! Jewel Osco, Tony's, and Valli Produce supermarkets are right down the street, and the Meineke Recreation Center, where we can do all our fitness activities, is less than half a mile away. We've already added a couple of great restaurants to our list, thanks to Sherri, one of the apartment managers, who recommended them to us. Speaking of staff, Sherri and Elli, who run the office, are fantastic. They are so down-to-earth and all-around nice people who made my wife and I feel very welcome. We also met a couple of members of the maintenance staff, Brian and Jason. Both are very friendly guys and were just in our apartment the other day taking care of two problems: the beginnings of a small hornet's nest outside our bedroom window and a faulty gas burner. They were very professional and came out right away. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our decision to move to Beech Pointe Apartments. The community, the staff, the amenities, and the location have all exceeded our expectations. I have a feeling this is just the first of many positive reviews I'll be writing in the future.

The apartments are old so not everything would be perfect, perfect so when you move in make sure you note everything down with regards to the condition. I see people not getting a return on their deposits & complaining here though I know 4-5 tenants who lived and moved out & had no complaints. You cannot get a better price & service on an apartment at the heart of Schaumburg downtown. We loved the time we were there. Excellent Staff & support. Only good things to say for the staff and apartment building. Sherry is the Best & if anything get broken or needs service they are quick to get it fixed ! If I ever rent again in Chicago Burbs, this will be the first location I will look for an apartment.

    In 2 years living in the rental we experienced 3 different management companies and GC was by far…read morethe worst. GC took the majority of our deposit on very petty items. We have never not received our full deposit. After moving out we returned to put out the trash bins and they still said we left trash. While trying to buy a house we asked to rent on a short term. GC wanted another deposit and 2x the rent. As time went by and got closer to the end of our lease they then were willing to work with us. We NEVER were late on rent and kept the place spotless. We were model residents.

Then he said he needed to find something else wrong with the property to report otherwise he woudl get in trouble. So he took a picture of some chipped paint (that was there since we moved in) and turned that in. Mind you, we reported SEVERAL issues with the property during our move-in inspection report, but none of them have ever been addressed. They're making their techs find issues so they can charge the landlords more money for sending out people to the property unnecessarily. Anytime We've tried to get help with something they've made it as complicated as can be. The communication is chaotic and unorganized and poor. It's clear this company cares much more about making money than they do helping their tenants.

Rachel has worked for Vista Del Lago for many years. Our relationship began when Rosen Management was our management company, and Rachel has guided us through the successful transition with RowCal. As the Vista Del Lago secretary and current interim Treasurer, I have had the privilege of working closely with Rachel for several years and can certify her immeasurable worth as an exemplary community manager.     This management team is terrible. They took over our complex a few months ago and have taken us…read moreright into the gutter. Zero communication, even after multiple follow ups. The new property manager Kathryn Coconato had our 1st meeting on Zoom, rather than in person meetings as Villa Mgt used to do. She was hostile, angry, and offered excuses for the RowCal care team lack of response. This company is the absolute worst.
