Today I decided to check this place out since I had some extra time. Iris Gifts is very much a boutique store. I was immediately greeted with a smile. I told the store associate I was just looking and we left it at that. I love not being bothered, so I am completely fine after the initial greeting/offer of help until I ask for help later. They have all the cute and festive items for the seasons, adorable clothes for children, fun jewelry, amazing candles and more! I enjoy browsing stores like this when I have some free time to get ideas for later when birthdays and/or special occasions arise. In this area of town, you will find several boutique shops, but this one is very convenient and there is plenty of parking available. Some of my favorite items are the El Arroyo collection, the fun cocktail napkins and the decorative styrofoam cups. On the higher end, they sell beautiful, lovely smelling candles (one brand in particular is $115.00 - I don't know anything about the brand, so I can't give feedback on the price - maybe it lights itself - Lol), pretty costume jewelry, home decor pieces and alluring bath items that function as both decorative and useful. I was surprised to see the reviews are not higher for this shop. It's cute, it's friendly and it is full! What's not to love?!

Unlike many of the Houston stores that are often crowded with demanding customers, this location maintains a calm, pleasant environment that makes shopping enjoyable. It truly feels like a hidden gem. It's also one of the few BBW stores in Houston that I haven't witnessed the constant, brazen shoplifting that has unfortunately become commonplace in retail and especially in this crime ridden city. Combined with the exceptional merchandise and thoughtfully curated inventory, the River Oaks store offers a refined shopping experience that keeps me coming back. So many choices! I did place my order online and their system to make your purchase is very easy. I opted to pick up my online order at the store. I was immediately greeted and directed to where I could pick up my online order. This was a simplified process. I decided to get another scent that I did not order online, as well as trade out one that I had ordered online for something I liked better. They worked with me and were so gracious in allowing me to make my trade out, and I appreciated it. There was a scent that I wanted that this location ran out of, they were kind enough to call the neighboring store for assistance (their Rice Village location) just minutes away. The Rice Village location had what I needed and then some! Something that really impressed me about the Rice Village team was how friendly and warm they were! Their customer service was on 10! Cudos to them! Over all a great experience! Of course, I will be back.

This was our second experience at Rustic Brush Pearland. The first experience for Galentines day…read morewas great. We had two project leaders at that time that were great. They were patient, helpful, made the experience enjoyable and we did not feel rushed at all. We brought in our own food, wine, snacks. We snacked and had wine while doing our project and it was so much fun. I knew I wanted to book again in the near future. I booked for my birthday, and unfortunately it was a different experience this time. We had one leader, and were told the project time had been cut to 2 1/2 hours vs 3, told this when some of the girls were snacking and were encouraged to continue with the project. Well it seems the 30 min made a difference. We felt rushed, and didn't feel like the leader had as much patience with us as the other leaders did on our last visit. My unique project really didn't turn out the way I hoped it would. I was told because it had too much detail. This was fine I wasn't upset about this. I booked more so to have the fun experience we did before with friends. When we would go to grab a snack or glass of wine, we were reminded that we didn't have a lot of time and we needed to do the project and eat later because time was shorter. I don't think anyone ever commented last visit on when we snacked or had a glass of wine once. The leader took some pictures, and did take (some) time to help, however, a few of the participants just felt rushed and didn't feel like the leader has as much patience as last time. Overall I would say for what we paid for each project, some paid $100 and really didn't get what we wanted, and just feeling rushed but we're encouraged to bring food/drink I don't think it was worth what we paid honestly. I think we may choose another activity next time. Potential is definitely there, however, felt like we were kinda rushed out. Literally locked up as we were walking out. Girls felt the experience was totally different this time around unfortunately. We dined next door at Santa Barbara after and took our time. Hopefully feedback helps make the experience better for others.
