Hi, I wanted to bring something to your attention. We had asked a total of five times, both in person and over the phone, what the price for a GEL manicure and GEL pedicure would be. We were told consistently that it would be 32 dollars for the pedicure and 45 dollars for the manicure. However, we were charged 120 dollars instead of the expected 87. Looking at the receipt, it seems like the gel was charged as an add-on instead of being included in the price we were quoted. It was obvious it was premeditated to inform us of the extra charge after the service was already done. On top of that, the quality of my nails was not great. This is for Mi Nail Bar on 2417 Galiano St, Coral Gables, FL 33134 (Yelp needs to update new address) I came in months ago and had to get my nails redone multiple times because the cut job was sloppy and their cheap polish kept dripping off. Their so-called "high-quality" colors like OPI are extremely limited, and most look old, expired, and separated. Against my better judgment, I came back to give them another chance. This time, an older Chinese man told me to "get gel because regular doesn't last." When I went to choose a color, no one offered help. Another older Chinese employee didn't understand what I was asking for and just kept saying "no, no," while pointing randomly. Then the man told her, "help them first, they have an appointment." The entire experience was chaotic, unprofessional, and rude -- from the lack of communication to the visibly low standards of cleanliness and product quality. I walked out. My absolute most favorite person that has done my nails for years is Lilly. She's incredible, a perfectionist, very detail oriented, and I have to say that I've never gone to anyone that does nails as good as her. My nails never broke, didn't chip, and whether she did almond shaped or coffin, they always had the perfect shape. She always did a fantastic job and took her time to make sure my nails were perfect. I have been to this nail salon thrice so far. The first time, Daniela gave me a gel manicure and pedicure with a "cat eye effect", a foot scrub and a foot massage with hot stones. The second time, Daniela gave me a gel French manicure, a foot scrub and a foot massage with hot stones. The third time, it was Daniela's day off. So, Esther gave me a classic (regular/simple) manicure and pedicure with a foot scrub and used multi-chromatic regular nail polish I had bought online from Etsy.com. The first two sessions were $100+ each and the third session was around $50+. Each time, I received great service at this friendly nail salon. I was told that they are moving to another location down the block and around the corner to another salon near Pomodoro's Pizza in Coral Gables around the middle of February. I will continue to got to Mi Nail Bar for my manicures and pedicures as they do a good job, provide friendly service and play cool music. I think they provide other services too like doing eyelash extensions. read more

I had the worst experience I've ever had at any nail salon in my life at this place. To begin, the woman assisting me clearly was not licensed. She did not open any of the tools from a sealed packet, and when she attempted to "clean" them, the spray bottle of alcohol was not working, so she proceeded to use the same towel she used on my feet to just wipe them off. What's far worse is she had zero knowledge on how to use a cuticle cutter, she proceeded to aggressively yank skin around my toe until I bled excessively. No apologies whatsoever. I then sat in the chair for another 45 minutes well past closing while she redid the same toe over five different times because the "nail polish wasn't sticking", and yet I'm still leaving with a messed up job. I'm beside myself at the experience that I had and don't even want them to fix this terrible job, I just would like a refund. I couldn't believe that I was sitting in an establishment that promoted and condoned that behavior. In all, I proceeded with another nail tech that did my nails horribly.
