We have eaten here for years and have no complaints. Food was good. Service was good.

Most days I pass by, I never see any cars parked out so I'd been unsure if it was worth a shot. On a Friday evening, there was only one person dining in. There are only two seats at the bar and I was able to choose one. I was greeted upon arrival. There is a full bar w/top shelf options and the margarita is super duper tasty!! Extensive menu, not expensive but also not cheap. It's slow enough to have only one waitress/bar tender...a Mexican lady who understood and spoke clear English. I loved the chips as they weren't extremely crunchy, standard salsa. The serving size was smaller than I'm used to but filling. Food was hot, didn't taste significantly authentic 6/10. read more

The food was a 6/10. I called the business twice, and the owner hung up the phone on me. I decided to check it out anyway. The parking lot was dead. Upon getting a drink, I asked for a spicier salsa and she told me that what she had was good enough. $3.50 for a lengua or tripes taco, which I don't mind. It came with no lime or radish. The margarita I ordered tasted like syrup, no boldness from tequila. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone who wants authentic Mexicano food. read more

I'm definitely not one to complain about a restaurant, but this is one of the worst places I've eaten at. The margaritas are full of syrup to the point where it's like nectar. I've never had a margarita this bad. Another thing I noticed was the bottle of rum Haven. Rum Haven is supposed to be clear...not yellow. We love Mi Patio! We've been eating here for several years on date nights. The soft tacos are the best; don't listen to my wife's delusions of hard corn tortilla taco grandeur. I dunno what that other reviewer's problem was; Mi Patio has always been fast, affordable, and quality fresh foods. Classic Chad move for a 3-star review tbh. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don't even have a single favorite dinner special here since they're all so good. Well, everything's great except the fundamentally flawed hard tacos. But that's not Mi Patio's fault. If God wanted us to like hard tacos in the first place, He never would have invented soft flour tortillas. Am I right? I'm right. The theology checks out. The camarones borracho is fantastic. Get you the platter. Bathed in tequila and spicy pepper. The sangria is yummy and inexpensive. The chimichangas are Shrek 3-reference tier. Just look at the photos, son! They've got a bunch of nice hand painted art on the walls and the patio dining is super chill. read more

What happened, Mi Patio? I ordered your food last night, Friday, February 25, 2025 and anything that had hamburger tasted awful. The hamburger tasted like you used a store bought mix to prepare it. That's not authentic! I have had your food before and it's always been delicious. I'm not sure if you just had a bad night or bad cook but please taste your food before sending it out to the public. read more

Horrible service 3rd try and never again. Over an hour with no one in the place and still no food. Each time have had no service this place is nasty filthy and I've actually never had a taste of their food because the service is so horrible. By the way I rarely rate places unless excellent but this place is so bad I have to take the time. This time it was because of a new cook. Really? WTF one hour plus and no food? Wow !!!! Stopped here on a whim after the wine trail and was very pleasantly surprised!! As a transplanted Texan this was great. The tamales were perfect but served 'wet' with sauce vs. dry. The guacamole was completely on point and my husband has declared it a food group. If you get the chance you have to stop ! read more

Stopped here as a change of pace from my usual Carbondale mexican places and the everything but the chicken was decent but the service was terrible. We waited for our check longer than we were there to eat. Seriously, it took 45 minutes of waiting just for the check. Our waiter came to give us our drinks and food and that's it. We never saw him the rest of the night. I went up and asked for our check 3 different times with the first 2 basically ignored. They would have forgot us the 3rd time too but, what I'm assuming is one of the owners, saw my extremely irritated face and finally remembered that we were still there waiting. We almost left a 20 on the table and walked out. We'll never be coming here again and I for sure won't be giving it any recommendations read more

This was a terrible dining experience. My daughter and I arrived and were seated at 12:25 and didn't have our order taken for 15 minutes. We then had to wait nearly 45 minutes for our meal. There were only two other tables occupied in the restaurant. My food was cold. Our waters were never refilled and our waitress never checked on us. We will never eat here again. I thought I would drop by here as I have eaten @ Sergios in Murphysboro, IL. The food in my opinion is way better than Sergios. I had the Chimichanga with shrimp, Mexican Rice & Refried Beans. The food went down very well. Please give them some business. read more
