I'm reviewing the field, more like thanking Coral Shores for having its track. I run half marathons, and nothing beats a measured off smooth surface track when you are running 5+ miles. The level of education provided seems different than that of a regular public or magnet school. The amount of homework given is definitely more than most, but my daughter has soared since attending school here. Her 1st Grade teacher is amazing and still checks on her even though she is no longer in her class. (I am not including her name to keep other teachers from being jealous ) The parents are active in the school as well. They recently held an event called SMACK Night where it dealt with Science and Math activities (Science and Math Activities Connecting Kids). This is not the only event that the school holds. They beautify their campus by Campus Cleanups. They have a Butterfly Garden. All of the activities get the parents and students involved with the school as well as develop pride in the school as well. Mr. Calzadilla is a great principal, and he has amazing Asst. Principals, teachers, and Support Staff as well. OH, most importantly, the school has been an A school for many years and it is a Green School as well. During the time my daughter attended this school, I noticed a lack of academic progress and a clear stagnation in her learning, without adequate support for her development. Additionally, I observed a lack of empathy from the school's leadership toward students. The work environment also appears concerning, as there seems to be inappropriate treatment of staff, creating a tense atmosphere that ultimately affects the children. In situations where inappropriate behavior by teachers has been reported, the institution has tended to justify these actions rather than prioritize the well-being of the students. In particular, I was deeply concerned by a case in which inappropriate treatment toward a child was validated under the argument that the child "needed toughness," which I find completely unacceptable, especially when dealing with minors, and even more so with children who may have special needs. There also appears to be a lack of transparency, with attempts to minimize or conceal problematic situations. Furthermore, I observed instances of bullying that were not addressed effectively. Finally, I witnessed highly concerning behavior during school activities, including substance use and inappropriate conduct among students, which reflects a serious lack of supervision. For all these reasons, I do not recommend this institution.

What a nice experience we had yesterday when we went to this school located in South Miami…read more I liked: The welcoming and great service from the lady in the office called Natalia, she was so nice with us and helped us get the information we needed. The great security in the entrance. The doors are locked and the security there will check you in first, ask for your ID, take a picture and give you a visitor pass in order for you to go upstairs. Parking, they have free limited parking in the back. The impeccable floors and offices. Can't wait to go back!!
