This is absolutely a 5 star hotel from the moment you enter the lobby…read more The hotel entrance is quite grand, smells great (is that a weird thing to point out?), and staff is super friendly and welcoming. They have a concierge desk where they help you plan out your entertainment, food, drink and whatever else you want to do on the island. The hotel has an open spa (gym, spa services, hair, nails, etc), two swimming pools (one adult only), and plenty of lawn chairs for sunbathing in the beautiful Ibiza sun. All the rooms are facing away from Pacha so you don't hear any of that club noise. But bonus is, if you want to hear what's happening at Pacha, it's literally across the street. All the rooms have beautiful sizeable balconies overlooking the pool. We were able to get one that overlooked the pool and had a great angle of Ibiza Cathedral and the rest of that part of town. We had a junior suite which had a queen sized bed, in room jacuzzi bath and separate toilet/shower set up. There is a small entry area that can be closed off to make sure you have a very quiet night/privacy. For those who like to sleep in, they come with blackout curtains. I didn't check out the casino, but looked like it was busy and popular. Overall, great spot to just relax and hang out by the pool OR have fun and party across the street at Pacha and sleep in all day. :)

This is not the hotel you want. Look at others in Playa d'en Bossa, like Hotel Del Mar…read more This is the most vile and filthy place in Ibiza, and I would highly recommend you send your worst enemy there, because they will honestly have a horrible time (I can think of no better way of getting back at the person you hate the most). I had the worst experience of my life at this hotel and the people there are completely unhelpful. Firstly, the hotel falsely advertises that it has beach umbrellas. When asked about beach umbrellas, they directed us to the beach nextdoor where we had to pay an additional fee for beach umbrellas. Secondly, the hotel falsely advertises that they are "All inclusive". In fact, the correct advertisement is "all exclusive". They put filthy drinks that will make you sick to your stomach (that was my experience personally), and upcharge your for the drinks that you actually want. The hotel also serves dog and cat food to their hotel guests. The food was the worst that i have had in my life, and I often saw bugs crawling on the food in-doors. There is also no sense of service. In fact, the best way to get anything here is to repeteadly ask for it because you get different responses. The restaurant also falsely advertises on its website that there are 2 restaurants in their all inclusive, and there is only 1 restaurant. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy even. I like my worst enemy enough that I would not recommend this to him. Even my worst enemy should not be exposed to the 7th layer of hell that is Palladium Hotel Don Carlos.

From the reception to the wait staff to the lifeguards, every person we came across was extremely courteous, friendly, and helpful. We were impressed by the linguistic skills of the front desk, who could all apparently speak great English, German, and Spanish. They were always available to answer questions, give us directions, and ensure our stay was comfortable, and because we had to wait for a late flight after checking out, they also offered to store our luggage and offer courtesy showers in the shower room, which allowed us to enjoy our last day on the Santa Eulalia beach even more. Kudos to the management for hiring and training exceptional staff. The location is quiet and lovely, with an easy walk to the larger beach and small downtown area. During our stay (2nd week of October), there was an older crowd of mostly Germans and British people, and it seems my husband and I were some of the youngest people in the hotel, but we were looking for a peaceful, calmer environment away from the party scenes that Ibiza is notorious for, so it was fine for us. The pool is lovely with a nice view of the blue ocean, and the rooms are immaculately clean and modern. We only briefly stopped to listen to the Beatles cover band, which sounded great. There were only two slight cons to our stay. The hotel bed was a bit uncomfortable with only very thin sheets, and as an American, I'm still not accustomed to the European style of combining two double beds into one (why not just take the plunge and order some queen or king-size beds)? However, this is just a cultural factor that I think only non-Europeans would notice. I also felt the food was a bit subpar. Although the eating facilities are spacious and beautiful with romantic outdoor and indoor seating, the quality and taste of the food was not up to the standard I expected. I was content with the assortment and variety, but on some days pancakes would be overcooked and burnt, scrambled eggs would be watery, and juice and coffee were very disappointing and one could taste the powder used to make the beverages. I prefer filtered coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice, and a pina colada I ordered by the pool was also a bit watered down and bland, but overall the food experience was satisfactory. In addition, the a la carte meal was wonderful and the restaurant was beautiful and romantic, and as I said, the wait and kitchen staff were superb in their service. We had the half board, which includes breakfast and dinner (although one can switch up dinner for lunch if a day's notice is given), and I also recommend other couples to do the same over the all-inclusive, if you are the type who also prefers to explore the city's restaurants and other dining options. Overall, despite a few minor details, I have to give this hotel five stars, because the service and location were absolutely fantastic and made for a wonderful vacation.
