I then called on a Wed. to ask when he would be meeting with my son since his court date was the following Tues. I was told he would go meet with him in jail on that Friday which he did NOT, I called his office again on Monday concerned he would not have enough time to build a case if he did not see him before court, I was told he would see him before court. He did NOT! I went to court early so I could meet him and when I introduced myself to him he told me he was busy and I was rude to his staff. He told me he would speak with my son when he got there that I was not his client. When my son arrived in court Mr. Blackwell left the courtroom and had another attorney represent my son who of course knew nothing about his case. The case had to be postponed until a later date. I would never recommend Mr. Blackwell to anyone, he is very unprofessional and I believe if he's not paid but appointed he thinks he can treat you like trash. The thing is I have the money to pay him and if he had acted as he should have I would have retained him. I run a very large support group of mothers of addicts and non violent drug offenders.
