Would never recommend this place to anyone. This guy had me going back into surgery for a foot issue after my first podiatrist didn't fully investigate the issue and did surgery. He didn't fully understand the issue either. I finally found a fantastic podiatrist who told me that the start of my issue was a previous toe fracture that was missed on multiple x-rays over the years. This doctor saw me many times over two years and never mentioned/acknowledged this fracture but he was willing to recommend $$$$ injection therapy or surgery. I also bought the worthless, expensive custom orthotics he recommended that started falling apart after a year even though they should last 10 years. I had two foot surgeons that I went to to get second and third opinions tell me that I should not get foot surgery unless I'm at my wits end because every time they cut into your foot, it weakens it along with foot surgery recovery being very difficult. Dr. Mitry is excellent! He is very nice and knows what he's doing - he diagnosed a problem that had been missed by a doctor and another podiatrist and fixed it. I've gone to him with several issues over the years and he has always been right on the money. He is also a very cheerful person with a great personality. I recommend him highly. read more

STAY AWAY, Not only is he sleazy and greedy but completely dishonest. I came in for Plantar Fasciitis and ended up spending around $400 each for 2 orthotics. They really helped, so I accepted the price. I came in for the follow up last January. He looked at the orthotics and said they looked OK so he asked me to make another appointment to have them "Checked again". (his bill for this 5 minute app't was $275 by the way). I scheduled a follow up and because of computer issues I lost the record of the date it was booked for. I should have called and found when it was but I didn't. Mainly because his office always called the week before to confirm. They never did and just called me a half hour before the appointment. I was two hours away on business and couldn't get back in time. I rescheduled the appointment for a few weeks later. His office called, 30 minutes before my next appointment and said that he needed to postpone. Then he sent me a bill for the day I postponed. I explained the situation and asked if he would consider waiving the penalty bill. After I reached out 3 or 4 times about it, I was told that "He doesn't like waiving bills!" So, I assumed I was stuck since it was technically my error. Then when I finally came in for my appointment, on October 1st, I was told that the Health Insurance Company said the January bill was "Under review" because of unfair surprise. I have no idea what this means and I'm assuming it was because the bill was not submitted in a timely manner. I was told at Dr. Mitry's office that they were notified of this insurance review at the end of August. However, their office never told me until I showed up for my appointment on October 2nd. I was told that Dr. Mitry would not see me for the appointment or even talk to me unless I paid the bill with a credit card because he was worried the balance would be too big.. He clearly deceived me into coming in so he could force me to pay in case the insurance company didn't. Had his office notified me I could have dealt with the insurer. I have never refused to pay any bill and I was really offended by the fact that the most important thing to this specialist is lining his pockets. He's not a nice guy. Don't support him. read more

I came to see Dr. Mitry around a month ago for plantar fasciitis. He's truly a spectacular podiatrist. I went from being in extreme pain on a daily basis to finally being able to get back on my feet. do not visit - it's a duck pond. I went to him for something i thought was simple, and he talked me into expensive shoe inserts, without fixing the simple problem on my toe. did i need those inserts? not convinced on that one - but i did need the growth on my foot removed. instead of fixing my toe, the duck was quacking and selling, and my toe issue went unresolved. i went to another podiatrist after that, and got my foot issue taken care of. the office practice seems to be set up to have you come back for "follow up" visits, but that gets expensive with co-pays. can't the dr. just fix the foot without all the "necessary" follow ups? i think the follow up appointments were simply revenue raisers, so that's another reason i looked elsewhere. i am sure my experience is not typical, but for me, i'm not going back. read more

If I could have given this office zero stars I would. My husband has seen Dr. Mitry in the past for his plantar fasciitis and he's an ok doctor, but I think that they're overpriced. Fast forward, my husband fell down our stairs two weeks ago and fractured his foot. We were unable to get an appointment with an orthopedic specialist so we decided to make one with the podiatrist. We ended up at an orthopedic urgent care where he was given a boot to alleviate the pain. After being discharged from the walk-in, we were lucky to get an orthopedic specialist appointment the same week of our podiatrist appointment and we were actually going to attend both appointments. While all of this was happening my husband had some other personal issues so we had to get that taken care of ASAP or he would have lost a lot of blood. I was given an appointment with Gastroenterologist on the same day as the podiatrist appointment. Anyways, I called dr Mitry's office exactly 24hrs before to cancel, I got an VM and I left a detailed message. Received a called from the office the following morning around 8:41am stating that I have to pay a $50 cancellation fee because I didn't give them 48 hours notice. I was told that it's because of patients not showing up for appointments. I've worked in the medical field before and the most doctors offices basically charge your copayment. It's not like I canceled the appointment the day of. I was never told about the office cancellation policy of 48 hours and $50 bucks is a bit excessive! I will never return to your office because it's expensive and unfair!!! Good riddance!! read more

I have been Dr. Mitry's patient for years - we started with him fixing bunions on both and hammertoes on both feet. I could not ask for a more attentive, caring doctor. He carefully explains everything going on in details that are comprehensive, yet comprehensible. His work is beautiful (I almost feel tempted to post pictures of my feet/scars, but the scars are really not visible unless you're really looking for them). When breakthrough pain kicked in at one point, he immediately answered my page and helped me push through it. He has been really responsive with all follow-ups and with additional concerns that have come up through the years. He's very professional, friendly, personable, and has an endearing sense of humor. My criteria for giving a physician 5 stars includes: an office that runs on time and is staffed by friendly and efficient people; a doctor who takes a personal interest in patients while maintaining a schedule and his professionalism. Solid medical advice is price of admission so it goes almost without saying that he does well there too. I appreciate that he balances a conservative approach with current techniques. I can't say enough about Dr. Mitry. I went to him for a second opinion on a bunion surgery I had a year ago by a Director of Podiatry at a major Boston hospital that didn't turn out well. I really like how personable and down-to-earth Dr. Mitry is. My previous set of x-rays didn't get sent to him on time prior to my appointment. Once he received them a few days later, we had a phone conversation where he gave me his opinion for my next step. He doesn't do the type of revisional surgery that I may need and recommended Dr. Michael Sganga who he knows his work well and trusts 100%. He also gave me 2 other doctors' names, in case Dr. Sganga's office didn't take my insurance. Dr. Mitry spent a significant amount of time with me on the phone (I'm sure between patients) to explain his thoughts, listen patiently to my concerns, and was truly caring about my situation. He went above and beyond. He's upbeat and friendly and it was a pleasure to have the chance to meet him. I hope anyone reading this review, who is looking for a trustworthy doctor for foot problems, goes no further in their research and gives him a call. My experience with Michael has been wonderful. I had a Tailor's bunionectomy in January 2017. It was the most pleasant surgical experience I've had and the recovery was easy. Michael was quite patient with me as I entirely disregarded his good advice with regard to my post-op care which resulted in an infection. Lesson learned - but he was prudent and prompt in addressing my infection and all is well. Very glad to have seen him. See you in 20 years for my next bunionectomy! read more
