I spent an entire day -- over eight hours -- trying to figure out what to do about my home insurance situation. When I finally got on the phone with Awilda, she walked me through every single step, patiently and kindly. Even though it took a long time, she never rushed me once. She answered every question I had and made sure I understood everything clearly. The best part was that she even communicated directly with the insurance company on my behalf, so I didn't have to sit on hold forever like I had been doing with other places. Her communication was outstanding from start to finish -- she always got back to me quickly and kept me updated the entire way through. Honestly, out of all the parts of my home renovation process, Awilda was by far the best part. I learned the did a credit pull (which my credit score is very good) but had a bankruptcy in 2009. I was told my credit, the drive app and my vehicle (which is a 16 pick up) had increased repair cost. What a load of crap. How coincidental that during a national crisis they decide to do a random credit pull (last was 2008). Rocco English did nothing to help. They are only a store front to State Farm. Went with Farmers, saved over $700 for same coverage!!!

I had the good fortune to see Teresa Risner of LTC Advisors speak at a presentation concerning…read moreMedicare at the Senior One Center on Douglas Ave in Altamonte Springs where she has her office. She was an extremely articulate and humorous speaker who seemed to really know her stuff and I was to find out when it really mattered that my first impression was spot on. A few months after attending the presentation, I unfortunately let another consultant convince me to use him as he was claiming Ms. Risner was far too busy to give me her full attention and good service but it turned out to be him that would drop the ball in so many ways it was ridiculous!! Luckily when I needed advice regarding the previous choices I made, I remembered her comments and her encouragement to give her a call even if she was not my consultant and she'd be sure to give me her best thinking so I called her, made an appointment, met with her just this past week and I sure am glad I did! When we met at her office, she was completely 100% invested in what I needed which was advice regarding my Part D Medicare Drug plan which had changed drastically after I had renewed it during the past open enrollment. She was so engaged that not only did she help me with my Part D issues, she also noticed that I would save money on my Medigap premium if I was willing to consider changing plans as is allowed with the Medigap plans & so by going with her suggestion, she saved me $28.44 a month on my remaining nine monthly premiums because she noticed the alternative plan that was almost identical to the one I originally chose but had experienced a 7.7% decrease in the premium cost with the only change being that I would be responsible for the full or partial $185 deductible if any of it was not paid (which it turned out was paid in full in January due to a lot of medical charges that had already gone through.) She took her time, gave me her full attention, and expertly showed me the plan coverage, and even documentation of the price decrease. Also, she even confirmed that no additional underwriting would be necessary if I chose to stay with my current plan provider. She answered every question I had and didn't rush me nor did she make me feel badly about asking lots of questions as I was a bit confused about the change at first. Today when I called the plan provider they confirmed every single thing Ms. Risner had told me as well as confirmed the total cost savings of $256. That is quite a savings!! If you need someone to help you make good decisions regarding healthcare insurance and Medicare issues, look no further than Teresa Risner and her company LTC Advisors. I'll be referring all my friends and neighbors to her!!

We are having a major potential issue with our house. Instead of getting my agent on the phone I got one of his assistants, who upon hearing what was happening at our house insisted that State Farm would not be covering that although not sure. That she would talk to the agent and get back to me. By the end of the day I still had not heard back, so I called again asking to speak with Bryan. I was transferred again to this assistant and she again declined to help said my case would not be covered by insurance and when I mentioned I will talk with my counselor she laughed. Fast forward two days, I've filed an official claim with State Farm and I received a call today that this would be covered by my insurance if the damage is indeed below my home in the piping. (All things she refuted). I'm taking my families business elsewhere, both for the reason the agent refused to call me and still has not and the sheer attitude that this assistant had.
