Bad review for Dr. Nocerino I started coming to this office when Dr. Murphy owned the place when I was a child. After he retired, Dr. Nocerino took over and I didn't really have the same pleasant experiences I had previously. The atmosphere was just weird. I also had a minor cavity on the side of my tooth several years ago and had that filled by Dr. Nocerino. I went back to NY and months later it fell off...I went back to CT to have it fixed and it was fine...although...a couple years later I decided to switch to a NY based dentist as I was no longer living with my parents or under their insurance plan. I had an x ray the other week and they said my previous dentist (Dr. Nocerino) had accidentally drilled into my neighboring tooth that was completely fine...and I had to get my filling re-done on the side of my tooth because it wasn't done properly and was coming off. So years later this comes back to me and bites me in the butt and I'm obviously not happy...I had to pay $420 for this mistake...I now go to an all female staff dentist and they're so efficient and have the latest technology. On top of my experience, apparently this office has a lot of patients and my family makes an appointment waaaay in advance and the front desk always says "call morning of your appointment to make sure it's still ok to come in". They call and their appointments are cancelled. How fishy....When people make appointments, honor them....what is this selective favoritism whatever? What is this based on? Really sketchy. read more

I've had the good fortune of being seen by both Dr. Gabriella and Dr. Michael - - both dentists are supremely expert in dentistry and a pleasure to know and their office staff share these same fine qualities. Dr. Nocerino and staff are the reason I'll travel 50 minutes for my dental appointments. The staff is warm and Dr. Nocerino oversees every aspect of the practice with care and consideration. He and his staff have genuine concern for their patients which is evident in my own experiences as well as what I've witnessed each time I visit. Furthermore, Dr. Nocerino has been able to correct mistakes that other dentists have made and dismissed some extra services I was told I "needed" in the past, displaying honesty and integrity which is rare these days! Going to the dentist for most is a painful experience, but Dr. Nocerino almost makes it a pleasurable one. As a person with a mouthful of dental work I've seen a lot of dentist. Dr. Nocerino and his staff are the best I've been to. The are all friendly and respectful. Not only do they remember who you are, they actually care that your experience there (after all, how many people really like going to the dentist) is a good one. What earns this dentist and staff five stars, however, is the work itself. The hygienists, I saw Sandy last visit, are gentle, no rough scraping, nothing uncomfortable at all, yet incredibly thorough. Dr. Nocerino explains all treatment, all options, does great work. And I've had some complicated problems, not just routine checkups and cleanings. I can always get an appointment when I have an emergency. Oh yeah, I have never had to wait more than a few minutes. I was there today for an extraction. And was beyond jittery. Lisa at the front desk, Anna and Dr. Nocerino made me feel so much better and not embarrassed. I have just switched from a dental office where I did not feel comfortable. Now I feel I have found an amazing group who are honest, genuine and professional. All I can say starting out is - in healthcare, it all starts with the approach and I am amazed with Dr. Nocerino and his staff; they are, hands down, the best dental office I've ever been to! The office is clean and in a good location on Black Rock Tpk. in Fairfield and their hours are typical but with the added benefit of Saturdays. I walked in the door with many years of problems made worse by neglect and on the first visit we got right to work, took care of some sorely needed fillings and got to planning out my next visits. They didn't judge, make me feel guilty or foolish and kept the consultation to my current state and where I'd ultimately like to be. They're now in the process of making a permanent bridge for me which I'm having installed next week and I'm looking forward to righting years worth of wrongs. They accepted my insurance and are helping me work out the best way to leverage my coverage along with some add'l benefits offered by my employer. My biggest takeaway from here is that I can rest easy knowing that I can finally take care of these issues with a dentist who I'm convinced truly cares about his work and whose professional ethic is shared among his employees. Dr. N is talented, puts you at ease and really takes the time to explain and wastes no time once working. Lisa at the front desk is a joy and really sets the tone for the office overall - friendly, helpful and quick to get me right in with the right amount of time needed. Lastly, Anna, the hygienist has a smile that will brighten the room, remembers my case, name and little bits about me personally and moves the appointment along quickly and capably; she's a great co-pilot to the Doctor. I definitely feel that I'm in good hands here. All in all, I'm thrilled to have found an office like this and I know that I'll continue to remain a patient for a good long while. I had the best experience here! The office is super clean and the staff made me feel very comfortable. I've had great cosmetic work done here between getting my front teeth filed down and getting my old ugly silver fillings taken out and had white ones put in. However my last visit I was nervous because I had to get my very first root canal (3 weeks ago.) I'm was so shocked and keep telling everyone how I can't believer that it didn't hurt AT ALL, and how quick it was! Dr. Nocerino was so sweet and funny, between him and the TV in the ceiling I actually had an enjoyable experience at a dentist! I live in NY and commute to CT because he is worth it!!!! read more

I don't post reviews often, especially on yelp and ESPECIALLY if it isn't related to food :) I just have to say that Dr. Nocerino has a wonderful staff and well appointed office. But what was really a game changer for me was the fact that they not only send me text alerts letting me know that my appointment was coming up but the fact that after my appointment the staff spent the time to go over the procedures Dr. Nocerino recommended and exactly what my insurance will cover and how much i would pay out of pocket. I have raved about this to all my friends. No more surprise dental bills!!! read more

I came to this practice with pain from one of my molars. Dr. Gabriella Nocerino and her dental assistant took excellent care of me. She rapidly diagnosed that a cavity had developed under a filling that had been placed by a dentist elsewhere, and quickly fixed the issue. I normally have sensitivity with dental work, but this was painless and efficient. Moreover, Dr. Nocerino was incredibly accommodating of my hectic schedule. I came back for a teeth whitening shortly after, and again had a great experience. I strongly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a dentist! read more
