Once we spent a few minutes on the phone with Mark, we knew we found a great match. This is a very professionally run company, one that you can count on! DJs are very important when planning the "big day", they help facilitate the evening - from the ceremony, to wedding party announcements, toasts, bouquet toss, last dance, exit, etc. etc. etc! Do not compromise when it comes to finding a DJ, you really want someone that you can trust to take care of the details, that is organized and friendly (yet assertive) to get things done....and that is definitely Mark and his wife Kristine and the Ambience team. During rehearsal (the night before the wedding) I was surprised to be approached by Mark and Kristine (it was the first time we had met them in person), although we spent quite a bit of time on the phone prior. They stopped by to check out the venue-to make sure everything ran smoothly the wedding day. They take everything the extra mile. Very reliable and dependable people! We hired Ambience Event Services to DJ for our wedding. From the beginning it was clear that Mark…read morehandled his business in a professional and devoted manner. It was clear that he had lots of experience with weddings and not only from the DJ perspective. When we met with Mark about the details of the event he methodically worked through what we wanted, as well as potential planning conflicts we may have in our schedule (maybe we should take sunset photos and then cut cake, etc). Since he has worked many aspects of the wedding experience (planning, DJ, etc) he was able to point out potential weak spots in our timeline and offer advice on how best to achieve the experience we wanted. For the event, we had a very specific entrance for the wedding party, entrance for bride/groom, and finale for (secretly choreographed) first dance. Our timing was pretty precise, down to the second, for all of the aforementioned and Mark got it PERFECT. It was really important to my wife and I, and it was reassuring when he showed up having clearly practiced for what we wanted. The same goes for the ceremony, as my wife's processional song was a secret to everyone there, even me. Mark is also a master of handling a crowd. He politely and respectfully nudged people into the right place, whether it be inattentive groomsmen about to make the wedding party entrance or getting folks efficiently through the catering line. He can even handle slightly intoxicated family member/friends looking to make rogue song requests. He does everything in his power to ensure that your big day is exactly what YOU want. Our wedding ceremony and reception was perfect, and Mark played a very big role in its perfection.

Ok, let's be real, a…read moremomentous occasion like a proposal needs snaps good enough to hit triple digit likes on the Gram. Additionally, proposing over Thanksgiving weekend requires planning far in advance to be sure that all of your options for photographers are not out of town. I, stupidly, did not appreciate that fact until it was two days prior to my proposal and I frenetically decided to change photographers. After numerous strike outs, a deep dive on Yelp brought me to Gianna's page. She, fortunately, was one of the few well-reviewed photographers available for a last minute proposal shoot. Booking with her occurred breezily through email and Venmo, and Gianna remained in constant touch in the days leading up to the proposal. On the day of, Gianna was responsive, punctual, and professional. She kept in touch and remained flexible despite some unforeseen snafus in planning. Even after the big moment, Gianna worked patiently with us. She and her assistant wrangled my rowdy group with ease and spent plenty of time to ensure our special day was captured ideally. We received a sneak peek gallery from the session two days later and the pictures turned out incredible. Even better, her prices were totally reasonable. If we decide to do an engagement shoot or anything else requiring high quality pics, Gianna will be the obvious choice.

First off, she had no personality. We asked that she wait outside my dressing room a few minutes while we were changing before the wedding and she acted ill about that? Also, my grandparents that came in from Alabama were feeling sick, so they left early. She expressed great annoyance that my husband and I spent 10 minutes giving gifts and saying goodbye to them before taking our photos before the reception. SHE WAS GETTING PAID FOR THAT 10 MINUTES! It was MY wedding so what was the problem? Then she was no help with poses. Most of our pictures will be the two of us simply standing beside each other. She gave no guidance or direction on cute poses. The only one that we asked about, she acted as if we were ignorant. She grabbed my husband hands and put it on mine and sarcastically said "There you go". Finally, the icing on the cake, the time it takes for her to give pictures back... In only 11 days it will mark 3 months of my marriage, and I still don't have my pictures. I don't mean my prints; I don't have my disk of pictures. I researched a long time and found that the average turnaround time for disks is 2-5 weeks. Also, my co-worker who was married two weeks after me has long received her disk and her prints!! My last email to her asking what was up was sent 5 days ago, and I still have no response. I'm beginning to wonder if I'll even get them.
