However, my wife and I went to High Country Cellular this afternoon on routine Verizon business. (The store is an authorized Verizon dealer.) We entered to observe all three clerks / technicians engaged with other customers - AND not a one of the three staff members wearing a mask. This is stupid; self-defeating; and AGAINST the town ordinances of Granby and the rules of the State of Colorado. My wife and I are over 60 so part of the "vulnerable" population. As was at least one other customer ahead of us. While we had been satisfied on prior visits and, again, like to patronize small, local shops, we departed as soon as we observed this arrogant lack of safety. If High Country Cellular does not wish to abide by reasonable, common-sense health precautions and follow local and state law, then it should close its doors. Very disappointing.

During the first year I was having to call frequently (2-3 times a month) for service. The audio system "Savant" is very difficult to use, I never got instructions or a troubleshoot website etc. My nephew finally taught us how to use when he was he at Christmas (18 months later). The man who comes to service is Brady, he is a 5 star which is why the review is difficult. He is professional, friendly very courteous. I only gave Dakota 2 stars is because of the reasons explained above AND they will not respond to my requests for additions to my security system (I had an intruder October 2016), I have been asking for 5 months for pricing to add cameras to my system and the owner (only person able to quote prices) will not respond to me. Finally before my Savant system was a year old I got charged for $443.00 for manual labor to remove & reinstall the broken device. Savant replaced the physical part that died, no charge. I believe when I saw the damaged device it did not look new, it looked rebuilt. I spent a lot of money with this company. Pay $36/month for them to monitor my security system. All I can say is it is the story of 2 brothers, service brother is excellent. owner brother is a 0 on a 5 star scale.

Mario is a nice, polite and well versed serviceman. During the inspection he mentioned the capacitor was "reading low" and he recommended I replace it. I looked it up on google and it suggested the price of the part was about $25. Now mind you, I had no trip cost, as he was already on premises for the annual service. He quoted $500 and change. I was shocked and he then went to to say that I really should install a "Turbo Capacitor" and "UPGRADE THE ELECTRONICS. for a total cost of $702. Now look at this video on replacing the capacitor for $25 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwdsAD019pk I challenged the number and asked him to cal the office. They confirmed that the price is fixed - I felt under the gun. He was already here, trip fare was paid so I figured to approve the install and challenge the number with the office. He then told me that the insulation was warn, so he needed to replace, not urgent, but needed. About 18" of foam insulation....price $209....FOR 18" of cheap, off the shelf insulation that probably costs under $1....and he was already at my place. After a lot of back and forth, he "threw in" the foam. I called the office and explained my shock at the price and was told they bill at $400/hr labor plus parts. Even with trhat exorbitant hourly rate, he hardly worked for 45 minutes to do all the work, so I asked for a breakdown of parts and labor. Was told they work on fixed pricing with no breakdown. I have been a satisfied customer and find their technicians to be able and polite. On their website I gave them a 4 star review thing I would be able to put some of this story but there was no such opportunity. I hate feeling that every time something needs repair, you have to guard against being taken advantage of. I thought I had a trusting relationship with them, and am disappointed to find out that is not the case.
