I Wired has the worst customer support of experienced and as far back as I can remember. After selling my house I attempted to cancel my subscription to my home alarm monitoring service, which was no longer under contract. I sent countless emails and And dozens of phone calls as they continue to charge me and route me to people who never returned my call. Terrible. We inherited a system installed by iWired and after we had been living in our new home for a month they came out to help resolve some issues, but said we needed to get the access code that was sent to the previous owner's cell phone! What? They also made us pay for a professional home Control4 system if we wanted to change any settings and we paid for it and once we logged in it still had the previous owners programming in it. Fast forward $3000 later and half of our TVs don't work, nothing is fixed, and they are saying we are under a 3-year contract. When we asked them what we need to do to get everything working they said they could fix it for $12,000. Really?!?! Unbelievable. Beware of doing business with this company. read more

Unbelievably over priced!!! They work on a "kick back" arrangement with home builders. Their installation of "surround sound" is pathetic. No connectors on speaker lines, no face plates on anything, cheap as possible. Running a few speaker wires in a room that hasn't been drywalled.... a first grader could do this. From the looks of this hack install, it looks as though a first grader DID do this. How much does a crap install from Iwired cost...... over $300 And the then their wall mount "line run". As with anything service-related, you are only as happy as the skilled worker that does the job. I had an initial service call on a fire stick which another Control4 firm couldn't resolve. 1st person from iWired couldn't solve it, but they sent out Eric at no cost to resolve. He tweaked it and it worked for a while, but he advised me against using it as I was and then reset the entire system remotely. He check in a few weeks later and then was responsive after hours via email on another item. So... if you get Eric at iWired, you're set. read more

All these people leaving negative reviews about this company, their services, their products, support and communication must have them mixed up with another company. They were amazing and the girl that walked me through some trouble shooting, Christina I think was her name, was very knowledgeable and very patient with me walking me step by step on fixing my issues and even though they all could not be fixed over the phone a technician showed up within a reasonable time due to everything going on in the world right now and I couldn't be happier. This is an update to my previous 1 STAR review. Things obviously started out less than ideal. However Stacie (Regional Manager) and Erik (Technician) have since gone out of their way to improve my customer experience by ensuring that I received the appropriate technology that met my expectations. Both Stacie and Erik remained patient as they helped to work out some technical glitches but they did it with a sense of priority. It seems that there were some unfortunate series of events that impeded a positive first impression but they worked diligently to rectify the issues hence my new rating of 4 STARS. These guys are horrible. I wanted to get everything I needed wrapped up in the new home mortgage, but had to get a router (cat 6 pre-wires just dropped into a useless box with only telecomm ports), security was pre-wired for a keypad in the master, but they didn't install one. I called about the keypad and they said that they could get me one, but for an extra charge, I had already paid for over 12k in equipment and services at this point, but they wanted to nickel and dime me for more. I asked how I could cancel so I could hire a security company that did install the 2nd keypad and was promised a callback. After almost 4 months without ever receiving a callback I got another security system, when I called to cancel they rudely informed me that I was stuck in a 3 year contract. So I got the other system pulled and tried to schedule a service call to add the items necessary to secure the house and get their system back up and running, they of course promised a callback and 5 days later still nothing. I of course am being billed for their security service, yet have no functioning security system and doubtful that I will ever get that callback. Don't buy a Meritage home if you want any low voltage work done or you will be stuck with this nightmare of a company. read more

After the nightmare I experienced dealing with Century Link when we moved here to Stapleton a year ago...I can't tell you how refreshing and gratifying it was to work with two of the people at iWired. It started with Stephanie when I called to place an order to add a jack for our 3 land lines. She was on top of her game ..understood exactly what help we needed and arranged to expedite an appointment for a tech to come out. Kailen their tech showed up as scheduled...quickly surveyed the premises and went right to work... What a pleasure to meet and work with such an outstanding individual..!! Kailen was knowledgeable and efficient in his work...explained some technical issues to me and even made creative suggestions on how I can improve the coverage of our home Wi-Fi network; as well as the audio system to be connected to our TV in the great room. I will be calling back to request Kailen's assistance again on both networking and entertainment system enhancements once we have some near term travel completed... Kailen in an impressive young man who you can trust to get things done when you need it.. I won't be using anyone else..! read more

Buying a house is extremely time consuming and frustrating at times but they made sure everything was just the way I wanted it. They were quick to respond and sent a tech out right away. Very expensive and no customer service. The receiver I bought from them stopped working. It was out of warranty and needed to buy another. They won't even return sales calls. Now my Pro Remote is on the blink, and the vendor forces you to use your dealer. No option but to throw it away and buy another remote somewhere else. not good experience, the guy never showed up for dry wall meeting , when asked that the setup does not look okay - he said it will sound great and will help me install the sound system and projector screen etc. the guy left the company before closing and when asked that the setup is not good, i am being asked several questions. I requested them to come and take a look how the wiring is done - causing middle speaker hindering the screen and also looking ugly as the front side and middle speaker almost 3 feet away from the wall where the screen is mounted - very unprofessional service. There was a nice lady named Christina who gave me directions. That is the reason I gave one star. My husband was working so I had to go alone and I don't know a lot about electronics. I initially told the guy why I didn't need a lot but of course he had a sales pitch for everything so I got some of the stuff but told him once I talked to my husband I might remove some. I talked to my husband and also my friend who knows a lot about this stuff. I had some questions about what exactly the different ports were for bc my friend was asking detailed questions to find out what we really needed. The customer service was not great. I called him in the morning to remove some things and I was met with flat one word answers. When you try to sell people stuff they don't need; don't get upset when they remove it. I was very clear when I said I didn't really understand and might remove some stuff. I talked to someone in the same neighborhood we are moving to and they regret buying a lot of what they bought. You're in a tiny little room and you feel pressure. This ruined my design center experience bc the designer was stressed she needed the paperwork from him. And yes I made a lot of changes but that's bc I didn't understand the whole wiring thing. Once I talked to people more knowledgeable I realized I didn't need most of it. Sorry but I'm not going to buy a bunch of stuff bc it's an inconvenience for the salesman to remove it. I was going to get wired for speakers in the wall but the service was so terrible I'd rather pay more to a different company later on. In the past I worked with a different company with a different builder and didn't have any problems. We are building a Meritage home. Meritage should use a company that has better customer service. I see the manager's response. Do you also train all of your employees to give one word answers when customers call to remove things before their final signature? Do you train them to refrain from saying thank you or you're welcome or even goodbye when customers wish to remove something? The only reason I'm getting a response now is bc of this review. Very professional with competitive rates. Great experience with Curt, who set up the system and explained everything. He also took the time to take a look at networking and lighting controls and got everything set up correctly. Friendly service on the phone and in person. Only reason for not giving full five stars is that iWired's cancellation period is 3 days - which is similar to other security systems - but would have preferred 14-30 days instead. Otherwise highly recommended and wouldn't hesitate to call them again. read more

I have used iWired from the beginning of our newly built home in 2013 from pre-wire to initial final installation 02/2014. We have what is considered a ""SmartHome". Since then we have finished off our lower walkout level (my Wife calls the basement... I think that is a Colorado thing as back where I grew up their called lower level when you have a walk-out) anyhoo I called Stacie for another quote. Arrangement was made with me and the contractor whereas we discussed each others parts in the planning stages. Erik and Kurt then came out and did the pre-wire and when completed came out again and did the final installation. Those two guys in my opinion are at the top of their game. I use to be in IT for 30 years. These two are professional, considerate, go out of their way even to make sure everything is to my liking and above. When Stacie quoted us his quote stayed. There weren't additional charges other than if I changed something... and even when I did he explained the differences... and in some cases it was a credit back to us. Technology is an ever changing field... and for a company and it's employees to be on top of all the new stuff coming out, knowing and explaining why one should do this or that... keeping it in layman's terms is amazing. For the few issues we have had due to equipment or Comcast etc... Stacie schedules a time convenient for us to have either Erik or Kurt come out to resolve it. Again either of these guys are great. I trust them to even come out if I'm not home. There are many companies out there that will take your money and you'll never hear from them again. These guys are always available to answer my questions and take care of any technology issues that arise. read more

we are building a new home and they are the ones we had to use.if it was not for that fact i would not have used them from the time i walked in their offices. totally unprofessional. we worked steve stoffel. he did not listen to what we wanted, totally had the wrong house plan, did not have it turned the right way so when they went to install the the Central vac they put it on the wrong wall. he could not believe that we did not want a cable hook up in the master bed room. it was like talking to a brick wall. we got the vac moved to right wall but now it is in the middle when it should have been in the corner. if it was not for the builder using this contractor i would never have gone with them, run away and run fast..... read more
