I was excited to discover that there is a Joann's Fabrics fairly close to my home, as I'd been…read moregoing all the way in to Middletown to another location. This Joann's is a bit off the beaten path, kind of behind some other stores in an old shopping center. It has a huge parking lot and there's always tons of parking. The store itself is feels old and it's sort of crowded. And compared to other locations, their stock isn't nearly as expansive. I crochet, and I would say that their yarn stock is easily a quarter of the size of other Joann's locations. But, I've been able to find things there that I need. The staff are friendly and always eager to help me get the most of all of my digital and physical coupons.

I do not trust their inventory I don't trust their good faith as a business based on my experience.

I have found them hard to get on the phone, and when I do, overly brisk/abrupt, and defensive about their sometimes confusing stock & shipping policies. For example, I recently placed an order for an item. I landed on the Woolery to buy it because my online search produced a google listing from the Woolery that *specifically said the item was in stock*. I called to double check it was in stock, but no one answered the phone. The online store said "Shipping in 7-10 days" which made it sound like yes, they had the item in stock. So I ordered. I got an email the next day saying that the item was not in stock, as the manufacturer is closed for the next 3 weeks, and it will ship after that. I called to cancel the order, and the person answering the phone was quite quick to blame me for misunderstanding - "You can add it to your cart, but that doesn't mean we have it in stock" and "it SAYS 7-10 days shipping, you should have seen that, which is typical for a drop ship from a manufacturer" and "The website doesn't say we had it in stock, we never keep large items in stock, we don't have the room in our warehouse." Then, she seemed unhappy to cancel the order.

Then an appointment brought me to Frankfort so I decided to check out the Frankfort Store. The night before my trip to Frankfort I checked out Joann.com and found I could search for particular key words and see the fabric selections. Wow, I plunked in "Moose" and found the cutest fleece fabric to make a blanket for my grandson. I was able to check how many yards were available in the Frankfort store. Perfect! Then I browsed on-line for fabric that I could use to make bathroom curtains. Then I checked out fabric needed for Halloween costumes. And the list goes on & on. I printed up a variety of coupons for Jo-Ann's to bring with me. The next day I arrived at Jo-Ann's with my list of materials and quantities needed of each. I also brought my tablet in my purse in case I needed to pull up the specific fabric I was looking for. No need. One by one I spotted each fabric. Both the manager and the sales girl were very nice about climbing ladders to get the bolts down off a top shelf. When it came time to measure and cut the fabric I had both of them working on my large order. Because I was organized this process went really smooth. At check out I handed the manager my printed sheet of coupons. She scanned each bar code before ringing up the order and said the computer would figure out the rest. I was very pleased with the whole process and will be back in the future. The store isn't huge but it has a nice variety of fabrics, notions, patterns and crafts.

I am a flight attendant and purchased fabric at this location in anticipation of a trip to Shanghai…read morethat I was scheduled on. I was having two small shirts made but I told the staff I wanted enough material for two MEDIUM shirts so I could make sure I had enough. Fly over there and the tailor says I barely have enough material for one shirt much less two. When I return to Jo-Ann's they admitted that the person who helped me isn't any good but offered me nothing. The staff at this location are not well versed in their trade or in customer service. It's worth the drive to Lexington to avoid this place.

She based her price quote on my statement even though she had just finished pinning the hem of the dress and apparently did not discover the third layer of material at that time. The owner made no attempt to contact me to remedy the situation and arrange for additional payment. Instead, she behaved rudely and unprofessional even after I apologized for my honest mistake. The garment also smells heavily of cigarette smoke after being at the shop.

I went here after a recommendation to have a gift created for a supervisor that was moving forward…read morewith his career. My supervisor had a previous badge framed from well over 10 years ago. I took a picture on my phone of that framed badge. This company was able to duplicate that cellphone picture with the new badge. I was thrilled with the attention to detail and care the frame shop put into this gift. The frame shop was helpful and reasonably priced. The shop was also quick. I went in on a Friday morning and was able to pick up the framed badges Tuesday early afternoon.
