Stopped by to get a quick clean up buzz while in the city. I was seen right away and there was no…read morewait. Cut was basic. I got the sense the gent cutting my hair kept dissuading me from my requests. For example, I asked to take a bit off the top, to which he replied, brother the top looks fine I wouldn't touch it. I asked for a higher blend on the sides and he said, "trust me, you don't want to go too high." At this point I was pissed and wanted this to just end. In the US, when you say you want it cut a certain way, they cut it that way. Homeboy over here has seemed to forget that it's my hair, not his, so, I really don't care how you want it cut! I paid and jet out there quicker than you can say Peace out! 37 pounds for 10 minute clean up, No Thank you. I don't recommend this place. There are plenty of barbershops in and around London and Shoreditch that won't stop cutting your hair until you are satisfied.

My barber was what seemed to be like the shop owner (the man with the prominent mustache) and he really had the routine down, as every move seems to have been performed thousands of time. Needless to say, but I felt in very safe hands. The shop interior itself seems to have been the same since forever, which added to the above-mentioned experience. Furthermore, I liked that the customers were composed of all different kinds of people: older Turkish gentleman, men who seem to have just a come back from a day at work in the City, Yuppies and I even spotted a Hipster! The quality of the shave aside, there is one remark that I would like to make: the towel they used for the hot towel shave wasn't as fresh as it should be.

It really shows that they have a genuine passion for what they do. The other really amazing thing is the classic red and white pole that spins outside the shop. Amazing.
