Well there's certainly a lot of natural materials here - err I thought somehow this was an ethical shop so I do hope that these lovely, calm people behind the counter only found the necessary branches for their wooden goods lying on the ground - hand crafted into jewellery boxes - handy for my collection of blood diamonds - trinket boxes and box boxes. There is also a selection of jewellery and bags and little items for children.

The window displays tempted me inside to have a closer look. They have a huge variety of DVDS of many different BBC shows, cartoons, dramas and series. You name it, if its been on the BBC channels you can get it here. They also stock toys, gifts, t-shirts and gadgets related to the shows. The staff here are friendly and helpful. I went in for a present for a friend who is obsessed with Dr Who, and they showed me the huge range of Dr Who items they have, showing me the items that were rare and exclusive to the shop. They also have a large range of educational books, for example books to help GCSE students in the run up to exams. A great shop for presents for geeks.

However several of my family members are avid listeners of Radio Merseyside and find the merchandise sold here very appealing. I've always been of the opinion that one can buy most of the stuff in any media based shop or online retailer, however BBC shop is much more specialist and can order whatever you require, for example recordings for radio shows and several of the local based performers and presenters can be purchased here such as Billy Maher, Pete Price and Tom Slemen. While it is a little expensive, it may well be the only place you can buy a required item.

Everytime I visit I always find something I didnt know I needed! The shop itself is clean and bright and the stock is new and continually stocked up. The staff are helpful and you get the impression they are passionate about their trade and know what they are talking about which is an added bonus! Ive bought things from them in the past and they have always asked me if I knew how to use it. This is the kind of service you dont get in the larger stores. Its the kind of shop I look forward to visiting and am happy to part with my money in!

This store has an amazing selection, and even near to Christmas (when most stores remove lots of their birthday cards etc) you still have lots to choose from. This is ideally situated in the golden square and the store is well spaced out. It is bright and cheerful, and the staff are also friendly and helpful. Pricing was competitive in most areas, but some essentials such as milk were a tad overpriced. Many of the items which were priced at a competitive rate, had to be as many of the branded items had prices on the label which is what some brands do to protect their pricing strategy. There are no parcel facilities here which is surprising but there are other choices for this around Warrington such as Royal Mail at WHSmith, DPD at Millets, myHermes at Great Outdoors and Collect+ at the Golden Square Information area. Chimond News manages to carry most of the basics for such a small shop, so if you need your newspaper or magazine you can probably find it here, and you can certainly find cold drinks and snacks. The shop is clean, tidy, and staff are friendly.
