Then I found the Ultimate Sewing place. Even though it was closed because Covid hours, they opened the door for me and the owner in 10 minutes had the machine working perfectly. I was amazed. When I wanted to pay, Shirly said: "Pass this forward". That meant I should do the same for somebody else. We are thrilled that are other people in our retail business that have a conscience and think about others. I will become a client!

I bought an original acrylic on canvas in 2022 from an artist I have known since 1976. It was a 40"…read morex 40" painting on a 2" x 2" pine stretcher, a standard he had been using for decades. I showed it to Craig at Kay's Place who gave me several frame moulding options. He gave me a price and I left the painting. Then without my consent, he removed the canvas painting from the artists wood stretcher and re-stretched it on a narrower 1" x 2" stretcher. I didn't know about this until he called and said it was ready. I came and picked it up, then hung this on the wall. The following day, a ripple in the canvas could be seen in the upper right corner. I returned with the painting a day later and asked that he fix the problem. I got it back a few days later, and soon after, the ripples returned on both sides now. More than a year later, I still see rippled canvas from a poor framing job.

This class was exactly what…read moreI was looking for - learning to knit a small raglan sweater, so that I would have the skills to apply for knitting a larger-sized sweater for myself later on. Tara (the instructor) is very helpful and tailors her help for each individual's needs. She was able to help me knit a proper raglan shoulder, which I knew was going to be the trickiest part for me. Elizabeth (the owner) is there during the class too and is just lovely. I'm looking forward to seeing what other classes will be offered in the future - maybe a sock class :). I held my daughter's 9th birthday party here this year. Tanya (owner) hosted the painting portion…read moreof the party. She was great with the kids, encouraging them every step of the way. She kept them and the timing of the party on track. The girls had a wonderful time and all left with smiles! The cost of the party included all paint, use of brushes as well as packaging for transport home. I was so pleased with this experience that I purchased a custom, in-house made snowman ( he lights up!). Pricing was very reasonable and included use of the studio, paint and brushes as well as the firing to complete the piece. My friend and I went in together to complete our projects. Tanya was very helpful. She answered all of our questions about what to tackle first and gave us her opinion when asked about colours etc. The experience was relaxing and we can't wait to come in to do our next project.
