Unfortunately I think a lot of the junk sold at Michael's will go straight into a landfill. However, I still love them because they sell some great art supplies. I buy most of my canvases here, as they're not only really good quality but really good prices. They also sell some pretty decent paint. You need time to browse through the aisles and look at everything closely. It's basically hard to leave this place empty handed with the price so reasonable. Micheal's has the monopoly on Craft Stores so you have to go there for certain things. This location is ok. It's pretty much the same in every store. I ended up returning the frames I had purchased at a different retailer and buying everything at Michael's because of her great judgement in what type of framing my prints would look best in. If you find excitement through aisles of beads, flowers, yarn, craft glue, glitter, foam, frames, pots, putty, clay, buttons, letters, stickers, ribbons, or anything to do with making things with your hands... this is the place to endulge! Michael's has a HUGE assortment of everything you need to complete any craft project. I found my needed glitter and jewels to decorate my phone cases, spray adhesive for making a fabric board, a big white piggy bank (bigger than my head!) to decorate and fill with change, and different coloured piece of felt. Although that's all I needed, I spent a good 60 minutes browsing the stores and admiring all the knick knacks that could be bought. If I didn't have a job, this would be my second home because I'd want to make anything with everything that's in this store. Only downside, this place can be a little pricey for some of their items. But there's an easy fix because they have coupons you can find online and also, if you sign-up online they email you coupons and tell you about store sales/deals. So far, I've been able to use a 40 and 50% off coupon on a regular priced item! Start getting those fingers sticky my artsy friends! read more

Take Canada Line to the Bridgeport station and it's a quick 10 minute walk from there. The store was clean, bright, and fully stocked with a good selection of yarns in varying colours and types.
