Over time, I have…read morespent thousands of dollars at this location, supporting their mission and purchasing items. However, despite being a loyal customer, I have been treated with disrespect and hostility by staff. Issues I've encountered: Items being resold unfairly. Being labeled a "nuisance". Staff smiling in your face, then turning rude, irate, and dismissive. Being told, "If you don't like it, you can leave." No paying customer--let alone one who has supported this store significantly--should be treated this way. If this is how they operate, they should reconsider their approach to customer service.

I had some clothing I tossed in a tote bag last minute "just in case it got cold", others leant me a few items. I admit though I wasn't wholly sad to go buy clothes, because it meant a trip to a thrift store. I love thrift. Thanks to this wonderful Yelp community and my handy-dandy Yelp app we located this Salvation Army thrift store in downtown Bloomsburg. There isn't a Salvation Army Thrift near me so this was the very first store I've been to from this organization. Parking was street, meters, not challenging though to find a spot in front. The store looks like a charity thrift store, which is really promising. Stores that look like boutiques or retail locations also generally have pricing to reflect the 'upscale' impression. Not totally unusual in those stores to see clothing priced above what it was when it was new. Right. This was well organized, rows and rows of clothing, signage on each row with category. There were also decor and home goods and such. My quest though was to find clothes. Jackpot! Got a really great pair of leggings, black stretchy pants with PoCkETs, a lovely dressy Dana Buchman knit scalloped top that I could not resist I don't care if it's hand wash and block dry and a cool pullover top. I lightly cruised the home goods and found an awesome little carved horse that I have on my desk. The staff at checkout were super nice and friendly, I unwittingly had a few sale 1/2 price items bonus and I walked out with cool stuff for $11. This store is OG thrift, roots thrift, classic thrift and I love it for that. They're about filling a need in our community, not maximizing profit that goes to "programs". I'm down with that. I'd visit again when in the area and would choose to go to another of these stores when I come across. *Note: The Air B &.B we stayed at had a washer and dryer, which was used before wearing anything. Always wash your purchase. One of my friends also got some scores in clothing at the store, pants for her work that she needed for like $1 each. She was thrilled. Always wash your thrift items, even New With Tag. Pro tip.

After selecting my items I…read moreproceeded to the register, the male cashier was standing by the store opening into the mall talking to another female customer about the cost of home heating oil. Luckily the female customer the cashier was speaking to had just filled her heating oil! Thank God! During this time I'm waiting in front of 3 empty cash registers, riviting. After a few minutes of waiting and exchanging glances with my wife we decided to leave the items and find a store with a cashier. During this time the cashier never said a word or even tried to make any effort to do his job. At least give me the finger! Five wasted minutes literally giving this cashier the strongest "help me" looks I could muster, nothing. Heartless.

For years, I worshipped at the alter of this discount mecca, a land of inexplicable treasures and deeply discounted regrets (that chipped ceramic frog? Worth every penny, obviously). My wallet may have cried, but my soul sang. It was my happy place, and chaotic symphony of deals! Now, my beloved Big Lots is going belly-up. And you know the worst part? Suddenly, everyone's a Big Lots afficionado! These bandwagon jumpers, swarming to parking lot like locusts on a field of half-price patio furniture. Where were YOU when I single handedly kept the "As Seen On TV" section afloat with my impulse buying?!?!? These newcomers, scurrying through the clearance racks like desperate squirrels hoarding acorns, don't deserve the majesty of slightly scuffed sofas and inexplicably sized blankets! They haven't suffered through the thrill of the slightly sticky floor and the questionable music playing from the poorly maintained speakers! In closing, my heartfelt eulogy to Big Lots goes out like this: RIP, my weird and wonderful bargain bin of memories. I'll miss you, the mystery stains on the walls, the delightful staff always game for a friendly chat, and that surprisingly sturdy $10 step stool (still haven't figured out what it's made of but that is one solid buy). To the parking lot hoarders, shame on you! Your late-to-the-party treasure hunts have probably condemned Big Lots to this fate, you opportunists! Though, maybe we will all meet again in a local "Goodwill Store" because the need for deals never ends.

One employee could not slow down and the other, a manager, could not come and talk with customers. We were about to make a purchase of around $800 from them, but, they couldnt discount a floor model which was scratched in several places. We ended up in muncy. The staff there were very friendly and very accommodating. And we did make the purchase.

We have been going to this flower shop since my Pop Pop died 8 years ago, and even more. They used…read moreto be so nice! Well not today. They treated my mom so badly my whole family is crying. First off when she went in the flowers weren't right, and that's all my grandfather asked for when he passed. They gave her attitude for asking for them to be fixed, then waited 30 minutes while people were walking in and out with no problems. They gave other people hooks for free when my mom had to pay $1 each and, this is where it really gets bad. The lady serving her started to raise her voice "saying my moms attitude can go elsewhere" when all she wanted was her flowers right. I know it's hard losing a loved one, but that is no excuse for the wrath my mom experienced on a day that is already hard for her. Take a leave for a little if youre gonna snap out on people. The mums weren't sprayed and the woman huffed and gave her problems for that, then gave her a hard time about a the bows we needed. We ended up spending about $150 when we usually definitely paid less, I know prices are going up but, I feel like this was out of spite. My mom is a nice lady and it's hard to make her upset. This shop used to have such a friendly environment and my whole family is crying now. I don't know what happened but this is not the place to go unless they correct this. The place was packed and this woman made my mom look like a monster while everyone was staring at her.

Unfortunately, my nearest Apple store was unhelpful in this and only wanted to sell me what I didn't need presently. I made an appointment at another Apple store location two hours from me. It's good I double checked at the last minute because this store location also neglected to schedule me on their appointment list even with verbal confirmation. The Geek Squad here, however, was able to take me at short notice today and was courteous, professional and prompt. There was also no upselling either. I wish I could've got the name of my attendant, but thank you to the tall young masked man wearing glasses! I'd use them again!
