I was blown away by the staff in the picture framing section. The first item was my brothers military retirement citation. It was in rough shape and was bent and torn around the edges. The employee helped me find the perfect frame and mat showing me how it could be framed in a way that the torn edges would be covered up. They treated this citation as if it were their beloved art. I was thrilled with the results and felt that the employee understood how important this project was to me. Several months later, I discovered two vintage fruit crate labels in an envelope in my mom's garage. There was a spot on her kitchen wall that needed some art and I took them to Hobby Lobby. A different lady employee took them and found a mat color that worked for both of them. They turned out fantastic and I loved seeing them when I visited my mom. Most recently, some 6 months later, I took my parent's wedding picture to be matted and put in a larger frame. The lady remembered my previous project and I showed her my idea for a mat color. She respectfully asked if we could try a different color, and I am so happy she did. The mat color she suggested makes the colors (which looked very muted with all the frames they were previously in and the mat I had chosen) pop out and look more colorful! It's truly amazing the eye that she has for the best mat color for the items I've brought in. I am so pleased with Hobby Lobby's framing department and will continue to go to them for my future projects.

They also have metaphysical items, books, tarot decks and more. They have a Facebook page updated regularly with their events and classes, like "The Art of Divination," and "Introduction to Practical Magick."There are some great herbal tea blends with very clever names and descriptions - I easily found several gift items for a friend and will definitely go back.

Your first time in the store can be a little overwhelming because of the size and maze like set up, but if you take the time to look around you will most likely find something you can't live without. I do shop here and I love the fact that they have a buyers punch card and they keep track of it for you so you don't have to have one more card in your wallet. I just wish they would clean up the mess around the cash register-there are piles of clutter everywhere, and get the boxes of papers that are sitting around the store opened and displayed so I can see what there is! I recommend this store for the sheer amount of product the carry, but it's with a warning that if you have OCD you won't last long in there.

On that side, I discovered bottles of wine along with a friendly sommelier, Cesar, who was both knowledgable and friendly. He offered a taste test of a few wines, which led me to purchasing a bottle that I might not have otherwise stumbled upon. There was also a wall full of different coffee beans and a grinder so you could prepare your beans just the way you like them. There was also a wall full of different types of oils and vinegars. A lovely young lady assisted us in testing those, too. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful. I saw that they do cooking classes and, for a brief moment, pictured myself wearing an apron learning from these fine folks how to make something exquisite. We were not in the market for costumes or anything related, but we had a blast exploring what this shop has to offer. It would be perfect for dress up, cosplay, themed parties or any event where you want to be a little "extra." There are a few things that lean a bit "edgy" or "spicy" and are absolutely fabulous. But with their once a year sale, the new price is 2$. Wow! The first day of this sale, i bought about 10 patterns for estimated 20$. Before the sale that would of been 200$ or more.
