This isn't much of a review, just a warning…read more This review is about Robert Simones my Farmers agent in particular, not really about Farmer's Insurance in general. Farmers Insurance works by having independent agents who then find policies for you. In general this is an antiquated system and you really shouldn't be doing business with them. We got signed onto this because we weren't really paying attention when we bought our house. The initial rates are low, but he will try to jack you yearly and hope you don't notice or want to argue. Unfortunately our house was broken into, so now it is more expensive to sign with another company (how dare we actually use our insurance!) so we cannot really leave. Knowing this Simones agency told us we have to bring our cars to them or they'll cancel us. We eventually lied and said our cars were off the road and signed on with Geico (at about 20% of what we were paying with Simones Farmers) the agent on the phone said she was pretty sure what Farmers was doing is illegal, but agreed we really couldn't do shit.
