When my wife and I contacted Michele, we had decided to sell our home in Alameda to move closer to our kids in San Diego, but we hadn't yet found a place. My wife and I put our East Oakland home on the market in June of 2019 with the expectation that it would sell for a dollar amount that both we and our original realtor thought was reasonable. We also agreed our home would have an offer in hand in 2 weeks. I'm not here to focus on how bad the original realtor team did - it was bad - but here are a few examples: Terrible communication, miscommunication, listed the home $50,000 less than what was agreed upon WITHOUT consulting us, left trash in our home after open houses, left the door unlocked after open houses, etc. After our 2nd open house weekend, we took offers on the following Tuesday. Terrible. No where near what anyone thought was possible. Over the next 3 weeks the original realtor team gave many excuses for the lack of quality offers that revolved around the bad reputation of the neighborhood. They provided fewer and fewer updates and failed to offer a viable alternative marketing strategy. So we agreed to part ways. We needed to find a new realtor asap and interviewed many. It was important to find a realtor that knew our neighborhood and knew East Oakland. That's when we found Michele. Not only did she know the neighborhood, she had recently lived around the corner for about 10 years. This was what we needed. Michele was extremely communicative, offered multiple marketing strategies, and was extremely knowledgeable about Oakland. The moment we met at our home she started talking about all the restaurants, coffee shops, and character of the neighborhood. She was familiar with Mills College and how the neighborhood is welcome to use their facilities to walk dogs and swim in their Olympic size pool. This was the person we wanted to sell our home.
