It was very challenging to get a conference call with her, it would take several days to a week at times and most of the time only through the means of emails. Every time it was handled through numerous wasted emails back and forth and at the end there was no resolution or legal actions taken. Thousands of dollars paid for mostly email communication and so many unfortunate events could have been prevented to avoid conflicts involving the children. These actions had been going on for about a year from the time I filed for a contested divorce. Immediately before this, she was already handling my case as an uncontested divorce for about another year. In addition, each time I requested for a trial date, she said Seminole county takes about 6 months to get a trial date which I found out later was not true. So many common sense legal actions was ignored and therefore I had to hire another attorney. The new attorney got to work and took action right away, she filed an expedited motion to get my children back which Ophelia would not agree to do. When she realized I hired another attorney, she started to accrued unreasonable fees and withhold my files and refused to release it to my new attorney. Within approximately 2 months, my new attorney was able to get my children back, set a trial date and completed my case in my favor. When you find an attorney that works with her heart and care for her client, it is a total different experience - it is like night and day. I dealt with the intervention program but the record (that should be expunged) is still affecting me negatively and she really didn't help with anything.
