Come to find out, they were not licensed or insured. And insisted that all four parties (us, him, the home owners, and our real estate agent) split the cost to repair the home. So, we were out cash prior to even getting the home. Overall I just thought he dealt with our situation very poorly, and unprofrssional. What was supposed to be a pleasant fun homebuying experience, turned into more of a when is this going to be over experience. It was so frustrating, and sad to say the least.
