She's highly skilled at basic dentistry, but also at preventive and cosmetic dentistry, and her staff are 100% . Her professional dental status is super high calibre, as she is one of only three dentists in BC that will have passed the Accreditation Exam at the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (her test results immanent as of the date of writing). She also holds an Associate Fellowship Certificate with the World Clinical Laser Institute, mentors at the Spear Education in Arizona, and is one of the few dentists in Vancouver with 'Premiere Provider' status for Invisalign Clear Braces. I'm usually worked on by Faye, a virtuosic periodontal maven who specializes in all gum-related wizardry and wields an arsenal of gadgets and metal tools... She's incredibly detailed and conscientious in ferreting out all the gunk that shouldn't be there. Between Faye and Dr. Sayson, I trust their assessments and recommendations, because I feel they balance unattainable ideals with (my) practicalities and plenty of common sense --- for what's best for me and my teeth. Sure, I don't floss as often as I should. And I probably don't visit my dentist as often as I should. But whenever I do visit, it's an appointment I not only *don't* dread, but even *almost* look forward to! My previous dentist was knowledgeable and encouraged me to keep my teeth healthy, but had a way of being really nice about it and never made me feel terrible. Even when I showed hesitation in getting my wisdom tooth extracted (I was clearly nervous) and asked her what my options were, she very plainly said, "you can do nothing or get it removed!". Like I know that Sherlock; I was looking for more information and reasoning. One of the worst dentists I've encountered and lacks experience in patient care and bedside manner. Do not recommend - seek an alternative dentist. I will say though that the receptionists were very kind, courteous and attentive. They answered my questions politely and respectfully.

One memorable experience: After I experienced some jaw pain, I came to see her to check things out. My teeth were all fine, so nothing she could do, but she suggested I go to a RMT who specializes in intra-oral massage. I had NEVER heard of this before, but I went to the specific RMT she mentioned and it was life changing. Seriously. After just one session, my jaw pain was gone. I was so relieved and grateful! If Dr Lee hasn't suggested that, I'm not sure what I would have done.

Why patient need gloves and why not keep my own mask? My teeth cleaning done in 45 minutes with X-rays and exam but guess what was the billing -- exam, 4 X-rays (bite one), 3.5 units for scaling and floride coat .. when I argued that it's over and illegal billing, apparently Dr Lee made the staff bill template and it's set. Everyone must bill 3.5 unit of scaling along with other procedures as a must.. is it legal? Or over billing? Shouldn't be it as work and time needed? It's about making more money

Dr. Oliveros is not my regular family dentist, but he's super nice and it's clear he cares a lot…read moreabout his patients. I visit his practice mostly for my dental hygiene appointments, which are completely taken care of by his hygienist Shams (sp?). Shams is by far the best dental hygienist I've ever met. She does such a good job with giving my teeth a full clean-up, making sure I feel comfortable each step of the way. She gives me advice on how to better care for my oral cavity based on her observations from the previous appointments. I walk in with bad stains (from coffee probably) and sensitive gums, and I walk out with beautifully cleaned teeth and better knowledge of what to work on at home, like which areas I should really spend more time brushing. I'd recommend anyone looking for a solid hygienist (and dentist) to book their next appointment here.
