We received attentive, proactive service and helpful guidance throughout the process. They even reached out to the seller's agent (with whom they were familiar) and let them know we were great buying candidates. The team's use of technology for managing all documentation and signatures was enormously helpful as we were thousands of miles away. We never waited more than a few minutes to get responses from the team and no question went unanswered. We knew exactly what everything would cost long before we signed our purchase and there were zero surprises. His team shared in our excitement when we closed, and we'll be heading over to the office to thank them in person sometime soon! Protip: If you're moving from out of state, going with local lenders like Jason is a big plus with sellers!

In having lived in other states and this being our fifth home purchase, we have had the full spectrum of experiences related to lenders and mortgage companies. We relayed our concerns to our realtor who recommended Jason Higham at Cherry Creek Mortgage. We could not have asked for a better referral. The loan environment when we purchased was struggling with the post Covid events and the market explosion in sales. The day-to-day changes in funding, qualifying criteria, and background checks had intensified to a level of extreme frustration for us as experienced buyers. If it wasn't for Jason and his team staying on top on all communications, keeping us in the loop, and expediting delivery of loan qualification materials I can only image how stressful this could have been. Jason's knowledge of the ever-changing criteria and needs of the individual lenders was outstanding. He was always on top of what was happening and sending out emails to both my wife and me. We knew he always had our best interests at heart and was working to get us the best loan for our financial needs and personal desires. He kept on working despite the many after-hours discussions and found us the lender with the best rates and conditions for our particular purchase. He was always realistically upbeat (no canned phrases) keeping a quiet and at times an appropriately humorous approach that worked to get us past the mountains of frustrations. For example, on the morning of closing and us walking into his office, he told us he just got word from the lender about us making a refrigerator purchase the day before and that they had to investigate; thus, we couldn't close. Unbeknownst to us, his team was working behind the scenes and after less than half an hour we were good to go with closing. During that half hour he was talking (and in hindsight distracting us) and making humorous comment about the impact of the lender wanting us to wait post-closing to purchase a refrigerator in what was at a time with the Covid supply chain shortages. This delay in this recommendation is more than embarrassing to write but is a long overdue 'Thank You" to Jason and his team a Cherry Creek Mortgage and hopefully speaks that our sincere appreciation is not forgotten.

After watching them live in a family members guest room for an entire month, waiting on this mortgage company give them some type of answer, I was shocked when they finally declined them after two whole months of waiting. This is a kind, hard working family, with good income, with a precious special needs child, and also former military. I am so saddened by the service that they received from this company and hope no other families go through the same charade. Please beware of this mortgage company and I recommend anyone else besides them.

This is probably the most important review I've ever written. My fiancé applied and was approved…read morefor a home purchase in July of 2012. We happily began making plans to relocate our family from Arkansas to Texas. The lender, Alex, made us feel very secure that it would all be great and that we would close in approx. 30 days. We married within that 30 days. Upon arriving in Texas, with a 26 foot moving truck, two children (one severely disabled), two dogs, and a cat, we began having issues with Proficio. We were accused of defaulting on a government loan, and it took four long days for the underwriter to realize they were researching the wrong person. We had to submit documentation not once, not twice, but sometimes three times. Confidential information was shared with one of our family members that the lender knew personally. On day 51, we told him that if we could not close that week, to please tell us so we can start over with another lender. Instead of giving us an explanation, or trying to schedule an approximate closing date, Alex told us good luck and washed his hands clean of us. He gathered up our files and drove them across town, without letting us know, dropping them off at one of our family members offices (our tax returns and even our social security numbers). We were absolutely stunned and infuriated with his behavior. After a day, he called our family member (not us) and told him the loan was approved and when we asked him if we could close on the loan, he said yes, getting us to come BACK to his office. On day 61, after staying in a guest room, living out of suit cases for 33 days, we were officially denied the loan for various different reasons; our DTI was too high and because we had written off $15k of business expenses in 2012, and a few more reasons. I have never seen such poor lending and underwriting. I don't want any families to go through what we went through. We didn't even want to LOOK at another mortgage lender, so on day 62, we signed for a beautiful lease property and lots of tears were shed when we moved in. Proficio made us feel safe moving our family to Texas, but when we arrived, their customer service and confidentiality practices left us speechless. After researching, we have read numerous poor reviews about Proficio and I wish we would have read those in the beginning before we applied. What's sad is that my husband is a former marine and this was a VA loan.... a supposed 'incentive' for serving his country. Please beware of this company and do not give them any earnest or title money. It has been two weeks and we have not received any of our money back. We also paid utilities on the home that we lost because we kept thinking we were moving in each week. We lost approximately $200 in utility money that could have been spent elsewhere.

My husband and I work alternative schedules (health care field), and Renee was always available and exceptionally responsive. We worked with her across the COVID pandemic, and she was quick to meet important deadlines as well as do everything safely over the phone/virtually. This was our first time home buying experience, and we were not disappointed. From the beginning to end Renee gave us advice on our credit, sought the lowest rates, and thoroughly explained the best loan options. I felt so confident after the guidance she gave us and now we have the house of our dreams in the Heights. Thanks again Morton Mortgage, you were outstanding.

She was constantly updating us on the status of our loan and she explained everything in great detail. Not knowing much about the home buying process, Renee was with us every step of the way. She was always happy to explain anything we didn't understand and we completely trusted her information. It was great having someone communicate so quickly with us too. She's very quick in her responses, late at night or early in the morning. We couldn't have asked for a better loan officer for our home! Thank you, Renee!
