They offer a variety of special treats and experiences for your pup there, but you can also opt to give your pup a more basic stay/day of play. They diligently checked his vaccines, observed his temperament, and made sure he was a good boy before taking him in. Not to mention they went above and beyond for us. I'm happy to make this experience a more regularly scheduled event for us. He absolutely loved it and his caretakers sent me photos all day. I've included them here.

I appreciate the pics on the Facebook page, seeing her playing with her pals is comforting. They are very, very good at putting "like" personalities together for a cohesive group. At other places we've tried dogs were grouped by size without regard to temperament. My girl is midsized but mellow. When she isn't as mellow she is transferred to the more energetic group. I love the drop in play care as sometimes plans change last minute. They're always great about offering exit baths which is great as well. Would highly recommend.

The only thing I didn't like was their policy regarding bathroom time. The expectation was that dogs just go inside the building. There were no outdoor bathroom breaks in the winter. The employee explained they only take the dogs out in the warmer months. I saw an employee walking around with a mop keeping things cleaned up so the place was not unclean. My concern, and perhaps unfounded, was my dog would get confused and start having accidents at home. It just seemed a strange policy to me.

This is a review for dog walking, doggy daycare, and dog boarding…read more I found Peaceable Pets after a very thorough vetting (I am convinced I should have been cast in the movie Best in Show--yes, that is how much of a crazy dog lady I consider myself). Time and again, people on the Ann Arbor Dog Owners Facebook group mentioned Peaceable Pets. I read all the reviews, stalked Peaceable Pet's Facebook page (where Robin posts videos of her guests and informative articles about all things animals), scrutinized the information on her website, did a meet and greet with Marcy, our dog walker, a play date at the Dellwood Doggy Ranch (required for doggy daycare and boarders). I give it 10/10 stars. Peaceable Pets is an Ann Arbor treasure. You will not find someone more knowledgeable about dogs than Robin. Some reasons I love what Robin offers: 1. She understands my dog's unique personality, quirks, and needs. 2. She prioritizes the safety, well-being, and quality of life for my dog. 3. The pick-up and drop-off times worked well with my schedule, which was variable for a while, and then predictable for another while. 4. I trust her 100%. 5. Every time I bring Hagrid to her, he bounds toward her and doesn't even look back to say goodbye. Every dog parent knows that is a good sign. 6. Hagrid is calm and content when he returns from daycare. ...I could go on and on. As for dog walking, Marcy was wonderful and reliable. A few times I bumped into Marcy while I was walking Hagrid and saw his entire body language and vocalization over his joy of seeing Marcy. There is no stronger endorsement than that, in my opinion. To top it all off, Robin and Marcy have really interesting personalities, back stories, and talents when they are not caring for our beloved animals. Marcy speaks French. Robin sings in a band. They are the absolute best.

Many animal hospitals try and guilt you into the most expensive care possible whether it is logical or not and Dr. slating does NOT fall into that category. When our dog had a dead tooth, he recommended just keeping an eye on it instead of an expensive and painful extraction. That was 2 years ago and my dog has been fine. He just wants what's best for you and your pet. Bottom line is Dr. Slating and his wife Kathy run the best animal hospital in the area. Highly recommend.

I took my beloved kitty to this clinic for a wellness checkup soon after we moved to Northville…read more The vet said she needed her teeth cleaned and they would need to put her to sleep to do it. It's a pretty expensive procedure, but this clinic quoted a lower price than I had received elsewhere, so I agreed. I was told to drop off my kitty in the morning before work and she would be ready to pick up in the evening. I dropped her off on my rushed way to work, not knowing that would be the last time I saw her. Around noon, I got a call from the vet saying that he finished the procedure but the cat had struggled a lot before going under and now she was not waking up. Although he would not admit it openly, it's clear the poor thing was terrified and struggled, so he OVER SEDATED her. She never did wake up. I had to go pick up her poor lifeless body. I feel horribly guilty that I took my poor kitty and left her alone in a cold office of strangers who then killed her, even if that wasn't their intention. I miss my kitty and am haunted by how she left this world and my decision to take her to this vet.

When I picked her up, she had actually chewed through her skin and had a gaping, open wound that required surgery to repair. I then used Pet Nanny the next time I went out of town. Janet Connor is wonderful! I had a pet sitter named Morgan that took care of my cat Feebie. The daily reports that Morgan left after I arrived home were so cute, and I was confident that Feebie had a good time while I was gone. I could see that she had all the attention that I would have given her if I was home. Sadly, Feebie passed on a few months ago due to health problems that were untreatable. But, I will always be grateful for the excellent care that Morgan gave Feebie; I would confidently recommend Pet Nanny very highly to anyone! For any animal, cats especially, being in a boarding situation is very stressful. Being in the comfort of their own home is the best situation.
