My wife had stimulator installed for he back pain. The Dr. WAS very good and took his time with her. TODAY she still has pain return about every 3 to 4 months. They have her come in and they adjust the stimulator to reduce the pain. This has been the routine for the past several years.SHE and I are happy with the results​ read more

Michigan Pain is the place to go for Pain Control, Action and Compassion. I have been a patient of Dr. Bojrab since 2010. I truly believe he is my guardian angel. I first went to Michigan Pain due to severe back pain, other doctor's I had seen never took my pain seriously enough figure out what and why I was in such pain. Dr. Bojrab however he did. He discovered the severe back pain was kidney cancer and I was stage 4. After I had surgery, radiation, and chemo I beat it and Dr. B stuck with me like glue. I do have a severely bad back and the surgery on my back was not successful (he was not the surgeon) and once again Dr. B was there to help me in anyway he could and has. The entire clinic and staff are like my second family and treat me as such, very professional, caring and just wonderful! My visits are once a month now and I drive 1 and 20 mins to see him because I won't see anyone else. If you truly want professional help, a staff that cares and doctors that will go the extra mile to help you then you need to go there and let them work their magic for you! Annette Ward read more

They deserve ZERO stars..In short-this place is unprofessional and has HORRIBLE customer service! Where to begin-first thing to know going in, you will receive bills from MI Pain Specialists, along with Forest Health. So expect to pay out of pocket-even if they say something is covered. They refused to do anything until an MRI was done, they said they had the insurance approval and it was 100% covered. We believed me, thinking they knew how to do their job, but after the MRI we received a bill for over $1,500 that we are currently still paying on. The doctors here do not meet and discuss treatment with the patient. I did not have a sit down with the doctor at all to discuss the pain I was there to have treated, he didn't spend 10 minutes with me. You have NO idea what they are going to do treatment wise. The medical staff doesn't know what the doctor is going to do either, they don't tell you anything, and you don't know because the doctor doesn't have time to talk to you. If you have a 10am appointment, you'll be lucky to be called back by 11:30. But they want to come early for your appointment. Just to sit and wait. If you need to call/contact the office, GOOD LUCK!! This is one of the very FEW doctor offices I have ever dealt with that does NOT answer their phones! They have an answering machine. They do not return calls. Unless you leave a half dozen+ messages. My new pain office, Prizm Pain Management, has been trying to obtain my records for a few weeks, and only answer they can get as to why they haven't received them is "They are in a pile somewhere". So my appointment with them today, was kind of a waste since they have no records of what the treatments I received from them were. I HIGHLY recommend going to any other pain management office. I have been a patient for 5 years, and everyone is extremely kind, and very professional. Dr. Bojrab has been trying every procedure to help rid me of my pain. He is so down to earth. All nurses are also. The dr. will ask how my family is, and constantly tries to comfort me. I can't believe some of these negative reviews, because I honestly can say, I have never had anyone at Forest Hills talk rudely to me. They are so compassionate. I never mind seeing all of them. I'm 70 and can say this is the best facility I have ever encountered for pain. I'll never change drs. The waiting room is large, but NOT their offices. God bless Michigan Pain read more

Saw Dr Chatas almost two months ago for pain I was having in my foot. The EMG showed I had nerve damage in my back. Not sure why I had it because MRI showed mild bulging. He stated a shot would not help and recommended spinal cord stimulation. I watched a video received a packet and sent to psychologist. After reading other reviews I'm terrified at what that bill will be. Any how went back to see him today and he acted like he never seen me before. Started explaining what the EMG showed and recommended injection. WHAT. You said last time that wouldn't work. Now it will. What changed? I wasted 3 hrs and now a bill with psychologist. Watched a video, researched this like crazy and now you say no let's try this first. I say let's keep taking more and more of my money. It wasn't an insurance decision. They hadn't even been asked yet. My husband said they told Him back 10 yrs ago this is their bread and butter. Shots don't typically work. On top of that I'm a full blown diabetic. And no I'm Not over weight. I just don't produce the insulin. Found out 4 yrs ago. I've come from A1C at 14.9 upon finding out to 9.5. I still have a way to go but stress and lack of sleep do not help my bs numbers. If I make app for injection and my sugars are 200 they cancel and reschedule so I'm out work and the person who has to take me is also. It's a gamble. Meanwhile I sleep maybe 3 hrs a night and live in pain. I'm looking elsewhere and not doing the shot. Frankly I'm afraid for them to insert a Needle in my spine. I'm Not saying SCS is the right choice but don't tell me a shot isn't going to help With this problem send Me to psychologist because need their Evaluation to do this procedure have me watch videos and then talk to Me like it's the first time we spoke with a whole new treatment plan that wasn't going to work before . read more

I have been treated by all three physicians over the past 9 years for pain management. They all go above and beyond and provide and explain different treatment options. I have had excellent outcomes in the past with the treatment they have provided and referred me to PM&R and PT when needed. They are the best. read more

I've been going here for a while now. Dr. Bojrab tells you exactly what he's doing before he does anything. Yes you get there 20 minutes early they've called me back within 10 minutes almost every single time I've been there. The injections have helped me immensely. I liked the Dr and the staff. One thing they can improve on is answering their phones and returning messages when they say they will without having to call back a few times. Yes I recommend this place!! read more

I have been going to this clinic for about 4 years now. Be prepared to be drug tested when you go and at least once per year after that. They don't want you to use any "alternative" medications. Just what they prescribe for you. If you want to get hooked on opioids, this is the place to go. But I wanted to stop taking them and they helped me with this too. After trying to go cold turkey on my own and feeling like I was going to die, I was weaned off the oxycodone using suboxone treatment and it worked! The physical effects of withdrawal with no other "help" will make you feel like you are going to die. So don't try it without help.I have had surgery and multiple treatments for pain at this place and I trust them to do it safely and right. Dr Washabaugh is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and is competent and skilled with his tools. I was implanted with a spinal cord stimulator in 2016 which helps a great deal with my back pain and I no longer feel like I need opioids for pain relief. Overall I feel like most of the personnel at Michigan Pain Specialists are caring and competent. read more

This was the worst experience of my life! Very large office. Cold and uncaring. As soon as I realized I would be moving out of state, I had my records sent to Michigan Pain Management. I don't know why because of the three people I asked, do you have my records, no one knew! Including the PA. While going through questions PA made fun of past diagnoses that I've been told I have. Past doctor instructions. No mention of office protocol , no regard to my past medical history! As PA left the room he left with, well maybe I'll come back maybe I won't. Maybe the assistant will escort you out. Back in the lobby I was totally dumbfounded! What am I supposed to do now. Oh just check out, then the receptionist handed me a business card for a psychologist! I have no problem seeing psychologist, but how about an explanation first! This is a ripoff and biggest insurance fraud I've ever seen! Don't bother sending records in advance , they don't give a damn! read more
