We really liked how we can be away from home and get texts about saftey issues. Well the comm link and app stopped working years ago so what is the point? Entered a raffle for a fire truck at the fenton expo and when they called they said I didn't win the fire truck but I could get an emergency preparedness kit (something like that) instead. They then tried to schedule appointments as late as 745 pm, and based on these reviews I'm glad I said no to those. I ended up calling to cancel because my schedule changed and they called me 9 times to reschedule. They even texted with the message being "hi can you call me real quick" no explanation or professionalism whatsoever. I had to block the number because they would not quit. Initially when they called to say I won I asked if I could just come pick it up as it would be easier for me and they said they needed to come do a demo. No mention whatsoever of the time that would take. I actually didn't even know the name of the company until a friend who was also at the expo with me mentioned she got the same call as well, and she told me the name of the people calling. I received a call saying I had won a "safety kit" and that they had to come out to the house to explain everything that was in the kit. I made an appointment , but then when we looked them up on the internet, they had so many bad reviews we changed our mind and tried to cancel the appointment. I called several times and no one would answer the phone. (That says something right there). Finally when my husband called to cancel, the lady that answered the phone said she couldn't cancel the appointment because we couldn't remember the name of the person we originally talked to. She transferred us to a supervisor. When my husband told the supervisor we wanted to cancel the appointment, they hung up on him. Now I don't know if they are coming or not. My wife entered for a drawing for a fire truck, or so she thought. it turns out it was a scam to give us a "free" safety kit, if we would sit through their presentation. We did, and I'll be the bigger man and say I misread my wife's nonverbal prompts, and signed up for their fire safety system. I did this because I had assurances from both the sales rep, and her manager (who I found out is named April later on, manager of the Flint MI office) that they would rebate us for the first six months of payments, if we would sign up now. They have repeatedly dodge my calls and requests for the rebate by saying "oh, I thought we sent that out, ill get back to you." and " the manager is out of the office today, we will have her call when she gets back" or " the manager is on vacation for the next 2 weeks and we can't cut a check without her." We just had a child born a month after this system was installed, one that had to spend 2 weeks in the NICU. I really did not need this bill on top of the medical expenses that accrued. Don't buy their product. you can get cheaper on amazon with the same functionality. read more

They called to deliver her free gift, came to her home, used scare tactics to have her feel unsafe in her home. She signed on the spot for $5,500 @ 21.99% interest for 3 smoke alarms, 5 heat sensors and 3 carbon monoxide detectors. (est. per electrical contract after is $1,000). She told them she needed to talk to her financial advisor who was out of town for 2 weeks and they said that was fine and DID NOT re-emphasize she only had 3 days to cancel. When advisor returned, emailed, sent registered mail & called to cancel - all of which were unanswered. Finally got call back stating she had 3 days, it was too late...she was stuck with overpriced equipment financed at 21.99%! TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! read more

I completed an online survey and a few weeks later received a call that I had won a 180 piece emergency preparedness kit. They told me someone would deliver it and give a presentation on fire safety. I'm not as dumb as I look so I know its going to be some kind of sales pitch. I'm also a sucker for a free something that I could buy on amazon for 25 bucks. Guy shows up with a giant suitcase and beat up looking binder. He's visibly nervous and I feel like I'm on Candid Camera (for anyone under 30 this was the predecessor to people doing pranks on tik tok). He starts by asking if I or anyone I know would want to work for his company..... He gives me his presentation which lasts ALMOST TWO HOURS. I actually did learn a few things. The whole presentation is a set up for the sales pitch...which of course there is no mention of until the very last minute. It was obvious to me but the whole set up is deceitful. That's a big red flag. They also make claims about their system with no evidence to back it up whatsoever. He wanted me to pay over $5000 for a system on the spot. When I wasn't receptive he called for backup and put me on the phone with his boss, telling her I had questions for her. I didn't so it was another very awkward conversation where I know she's just trying to keep me talking. At this point it was like hostage negotiation. At the very end the kid hands me a piece of paper and wants me write down the names and phone numbers of TWENTY people I know who he can try to sell this stuff to. If they ALL buy into it I would get the kitchen knives, and the waffle iron, and A FREE VACATION (was not told where the trip was too). I asked if he had a brochure or anything he could leave with any info about the product. He did not. I asked if I could take a picture with my phone of the price sheet he showed me. He said that was not allowed (??). It ended with him scribbling his name and number down on a scrap of paper and disappearing into the night. He honestly seemed like an decent person and he's doing the best he can with with what they're giving him. Tim if you're reading this. Product is ok. Not great, there is definitely better on the market. Their sales tactics, customer service, payments processing, and manager are utterly deplorable. They scam you into buying their overpriced product only to disappear once it is installed. I had problems with their payments company running my credit multiple times, auctioning off my debt, opening multiple accounts in my name then opening a bank account in my name. I wanted to return the system for a refund and they will not let me. The owner is rude and ordered drive through while I was on the phone with her. She kept telling me I was lying and that the payments company would never do what they did, despite the evidence being plainly in sight. She claimed to have tried contacting my parents but my parents have had no contact with her either. It took me months to get a hold of anyone to begin with. The company changed their name and became a new company the month after I bought the system and they were nearly impossible to find online. A complaint was filed with the BBB which remains unresolved. They are unwilling to work with their customers and are clearly in it to scam people out of thousands of dollars. Whatever you do DO NOT purchase anything from them. DO NOT LET THEM IN YOUR HOME! There are many other companies on the market selling products that do the same thing at better quality.
