I'm updating my review for my ongoing window world experience. My last review explained 11 new…read morewindows were installed July 3rd, 2025. ALL windows had gaps in the sashes. I've had to contact the office several times. Their communication has been the worst I've ever dealt with. The main points of my review are: 1. The manufacturer of the windows made the sashes too small 2. The rep came to measure again. Ordered new sashes to replace too small ones. 3. 9/5 (2 months after install) the rep comes to install the new sashes and discovers his measurements were off and now the sashes are too BIG. Orders more, but completely forgot two top sashes. Now we have a couple sashes that are so tight, we can barely open the bottom of our windows. 4. I filed with BBB since once again communicating with the manager of WW is basically non existent. I'm left in the dark as to when new sashes are coming and will they fit this time? 5. I also contacted corporate office of WW 3 times. Twice called and left a message, once emailed to see if I can get any information on when install might be happening. NOT ONE REPLY BACK. 6. After BBB got involved, the manager at WW finally got someone else to order all new windows--although I'm not certain why because no one came back to make sure measurements were correct this time...& I asked questions regarding time frame of when new windows would come. No reply again. This has been the most frustrating experience of my life. After how many times this company messed up on the window measurements, showed up late or not at all, treated me poorly because I'm not happy with the work they did--& they can't even give me a time frame. I also requested they stop my payments as the job isn't finished yet & they still haven't done that. I would never recommend we to anyone. What a nightmare that is still continuing after three months!

Fortunately I've gotten in and out of previous homes before having to tackle this but now, the time has come. After talking to several companies and reviewing proposals, I chose Smart Roofing Systems. Smart has done many homes in my neighborhood and everyone had good things to say about them. My experience was no exception. One difference I noticed about Smart vs. other companies is that instead of having a huge dumpster placed in your driveway, they used an open trailer on wheels allowing for easy removal of the debris each day. I also liked the fact that this left no marks on the asphalt driveway like some heavy dumpster can do. The crews put in extremely long days and did an amazing clean up. When you tear down a roof, shingles, nails, etc. go everywhere. The job site remained neat and the daily and final clean up was superb. Smart was extremely easy to do business with. Great, responsive communications and follow up. I tend to ask a lot of questions especially given the costs involved. Never was I left hanging. I highly recommend Smart Roofing Systems.

Looking forward to having our old roof from 20+ years removed and replaced tomorrow, 07/24/25! Well fellow homeowners, our roof has been replaced in less than 8 hours?What is most amazing is that it was 100 degrees today in SW Michigan? What literally perfect hard workers and team removing our old roof and a professional and beautiful replacement in this 100 degree combined hot and humid day at our home in Vicksburg Michigan! I spoke in the Yelp chat with questions to the owner Richard Paige in Rockford, MI., who certainly knew all the questions he answered without hesitation and it revealed his knowledge of all the aspects we needed to know! We could not have been more impressed, and we made the decision to have our roof replaced in the very next week he was able to fit us into! A week ago our new premium was due and having our initial roof replaced today, we were able to obtain a credit of $617! Ask your agent about this because it was apparent our roof was old enough that it was raising the cost of our annual premium! We never knew that, but we must also honestly inform all homeowners that insurance companies are very concerned about possible claims because of aging roofs, which seemed fairly obvious, but it "woke us up" when faced with a 50% increase in the past 2 years? Thankfully our agent was definitely helpful and on our side in advising us we could save so much by spending a very reasonable amount with Smart Roofing out of Rockford who replied to me on the YELP APP almost immediately and the rest was history! We are now one week later very thankful this was communicated so well by the owner Richard Paige! The staff helped with the kind of glass, the thickness, and the finish on both glass and edges. The glass on my table top is very secure and fits perfectly. I am really satisfied on how it looks and how it has held up. I do still use coasters. But I have coffee table books and notebooks for writing and glass is clean and clear, free of scratches. Which was one of my concerns, will it scratch easily??? The answer for my table is no. Also they have a delivery service, for an extra charge and I probably would have used that, had the glass been any larger or longer.
