We needed a storage unit and this was the only one available within a 100…read moremile radius as my daughter and grand daughter were moving across country to be closer to family. We took care of everything from Oregon over the phone and paid thru mail... never met the owners in person to sign any paperwork. Moved into the unit June of 2017. In November we got a call 3 days after the fact with a message stating our unit along with a few more had been broken into and she wasn't sure if anything was missing but she remembered a keyboard. When we arrived to the unit they had secured it with one of their locks so they open it up .. this was a 10x20 unit FULL in November and now had a few boxes and a table and bed frame. The "keyboard that she had said she remembered seeing was gone. My first thought was how did she know there was a keyboard in here at one time and the next was I found it funny that she said i don't know if anything is missing! Who rents a big unit like that for enough stuff to fit into a 5x8 trailer? 10x20 unit that had enough stuff to fit in a small trailer? We live an hour from the unit so it took 6 months for us to get what was left in the unit due to busy schedules and the hours that the owners are available to take off their lock. We called to schedule a pickup and was told she would be gone to lunch for 1 1/2 hours so we asked her to please remove her lock that we were renting a trailer and would be on our way and she said she would. Drove an hour with 3 dogs and show up to the unit that is locked and she is not there, not answering her cell phone. I called the police department to see if I could have someone cut the lock and was told no. They gave me her phone number to her second job so I called and the manager answered and said she wasn't there. I proceeded to tell her our story and told her I was not happy.. she called the owner and she answered her phone! She called back and told us to get off her property. .. to make a long story short I ended up getting the local police involved so I could get my items out of storage. This is the worst place to put your belongings. Owner is rude, a liar, and I honestly feel like the break in was an inside job. If I could give negative stars I would.
