Ironically because the copy of the id, is the same one they have on file when the acct was made. The whole point of a Id is to validate you're indeed the person, this is exactly the case here, where they don't even know why they ask for a id in the first place. If you wanna bank with idiots for sure this is the place for you. my camera card says on it valid as a temporary license/id card for 60 days from issue date when signed the issue date is 06/05/25 I already paid for the id renewal. The nearest penndot is closed for renovations so I cant travel to the next closest until next week. If I paid for the identification card an got paperwork why is the bank refusing to give me my money when it comes from an estate account through their bank so the can see the money in the account mind you the also called the person who wrote the check to verify that they did write me a check for the amount yet still wouldn't let me cash a check written from an account that is at their bank. Bank with PayPal or cash app they are better banks then this one absolute joke

I wanted to take a moment to call out the OUTSTANDING work done by Vicky Schach at the Hidden River…read moreCredit Union (HRCU). I used to use the credit union when it was a different name many years ago before my wife and I moved from Minersville to Seattle over 25 years ago. When we decided to move back home, I reached out to HRCU again to get pre-approved to purchase a new house. Even from 3000 miles away Vicky was able to help us get pre-approved and ready to buy a house within days. Given the mess of a process with which I had to deal selling my place in the Seattle area, Vicky was truly a breath of fresh air and made the entire process easy. When we flew home for closing on the house, she even came to the lawyer's place with a Palermo pizza and Guers Iced Tea (out of her own pocket) to welcome us home. Frankly, Vicky should be heading up that loan department and showing others what real customer service is all about. The leadership had better do everything they can to keep her there or other Credit unions/banks are going to take her away.

This has happened multiple times over the years but this time its been weeks & even though Im having these issues with their defective product they still tried 2 charge me 2 get a new debit card. Re-downloaded Yelp just for this: this is the worst "financial institution" I've ever dealt with…read more I split my direct deposit among three banks. CACL was one of them until I noticed my balance was -$190. I called and asked, "What's going on here?" The response was, "Sir, it's your job to keep track of your account." I didn't call for a lecture. Long story short, they told me it was "overdraft protection." I don't regularly check this account. I mainly use it a pinch. There were a few small charges, around $2 each, but every one of them triggered a $35 overdraft fee. I asked the representative if she could see how that seemed predatory: charging a fee more than 10 times the amount of the purchase and calling it "overdraft protection." Also, why wouldn't anyone contact me? Do they really think I would knowingly continue making $2 purchases if each one cost me an additional $35 in fees, eventually totaling more than $150? I told them to shut the count down and I'll pay the balance but They agreed to waived the fees. I paid what I owed and even deposited an extra $400 as a gesture of good faith. About a year later, I needed to access the money and discovered my debit card had been blocked. I couldn't unblock it myself, and I couldn't transfer the money out through the app. When I called, I was told they couldn't move money between banks because they're a credit union. I also bank with PSECU, so I know that's not true. At that point, I told them to send me a check and close the account. Good riddance.
