I looked out the window after 10 minutes of waiting and I noticed the apprentice/mechanic was having issues opening my car. I ran outside asking if he needed help. He showed me my keys and told me he broke my house key while opening my car using my house key in the driver's side car door lock . The Apprentice at the desk got irate with me after I told him what happened to my property . It took me 5 minutes to calm down but he left my keys on the desk after telling me he's going to see what he can do about my keys. I didn't want to take any more chances and I took my keys back and left to go to another auto shop where I know I can trust. Total Quartz -Can Auto Care was my first and only visit. It took two days to get the part just for it to be the wrong one. When I called the local dealership to get the part, I informed Mike but he told me it was the wrong one, refused to give me the part number and said they "go by the picture now". Was also told my battery (which was perfectly fine before I brought it in) needed to be replaced. I ended up having to purchase and install the light and battery myself just to get my certification on time which almost made me lose the sale of my vehicle. Never going back.

Even though they were closed, an employee named Terry ran out and over a street to my car and helped us put on a spare even after his shift was over. He gave us advice about the car and made sure we were safe once we left. After we came back the next day got our tire replaced within 1 hour. When I booked an appointment to get my air conditioning fixed I asked for a estimate and they said they would let me know. Dropped it off and asked again, they said same thing. That afternoon when the car was suppose to be fixed I called at 4:30 to ask and they weren't finished and asked for the estimate and wouldn't tell me until Monday. Monday afternoon we get a call and were told it's fixed. Under the consumer protection law (http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/statutes/english/elaws_statutes_02c30_e.htm#BK67) A shop may not fix your car until the owner of the car agrees to the estimate. They never told me! I came in and explained I was upset and the service was horrible I even said I wasn't looking for free ( also have a audio recording of the whole conversation) and told him I have no problem paying for half as this is his mistake and I asked numerous times. He then told me he would take the van if I wanted to and unhook it all but I have to pay for him to unhook it. After much polite arguing , we didn't get harsh he finally after 30 minutes said he would charge a little over half. Which we were fine about. I'm posting this as this shop needs to understand the consumer protection law, I could of taken him to court and not paid anything. But I didn't. Customers need to know their rights and not get bullied by shop owners. Own up to your mistake and meet the client half way . It doesn't need to be a struggle. What if I couldn't afford it at all? This is my regular repair shop and I enjoy their service. Yes they have had issues come up from…read moretime to time with delays on repairs but typically those have not been there fault, they've been things like parts not arriving when they were expected, etc. I've never had them complete repairs when I've asked for an estimate first and they've always been accurate when given. The folks there are always polite and easy to deal with. My only real gripe is the fact that they aren't open on Saturdays and due to my scheduling it's sometimes difficult to get my vehicle in when I need to but they do have a key drop box where you can leave your car and put your key in an envelope with instructions and they have always been decent when I've done that. I have no major issues with these people and they do honor their repair warranties.

When I got home and looked at the invoice they hadn't done the drive clean. I called them up and they didn't even apologize but instead seemed annoyed that I called them. I just got the test done elsewhere. Today, August 28, 2018 at odometer reading 105,259 I took our car into another garage to have the oil changed. The dip stick was dry! When the drained the oil only a few drops came out.The car is not leaking or burning oil. Obviously, DM failed to put anywhere near the correct amount of oil in back in April. Not only are the DM people (Dave Vollmer & Vince Legault & staff) rude and unprofessional, they are incompetent.

Wanted to buy local so I Went here to buy an escape when I was 21 and a student. When he finally gave me a quote (it was like pulling teeth getting him to take me seriously) he knocked a whopping $67 and change off the list price and told me there was no money in selling escapes and he was practically losing money at that. Safe to say I went elsewhere, saved $3000, and wasn't treated like I couldn't buy a car by any other dealer. Came back for a warranty claim a year later (I worked locally) and asked if it could be fixed in a specific time window - it was a 1hr job and I gave them a 4hr window because I worked 8-12 locally and then went to Guelph to school - and they told me that they would only work around my schedule if I had bought the vehicle there.
