Avoid! - Do not bring your car or your business here. I worked at the Flemington Midas store, for Leeds West Group, for a total of 6 days as a Manager. After more than 12 years in the service industry, I have never had a worse, more embarrassing professional experience.
The shop is in horrible shape. The floors are full of dirt, fluids, parts, tools, fire hazards, trip hazards and sharp metal. The lifts are in disrepair, and the jacks wobble. The tire machines were hard to find underneath the scrap metal/tools pile. I was asked to hide paperwork on certain repair orders by the district manager [and other shady stuff].
In the short time I was there, we had about 10 vehicles come back for a problem we created, due to inexperienced technicians and inexperienced management. We turned away people left and right. The average wait for an oil change was hours some days. It seemed like every customer I helped was upset with a good reason.
They have had many new managers come and go recently, myself included, and I can see why.
I like to do things the right way and be honest with people.
Therefore: I was so embarrassed when we broke people's cars and I was expected to lie to them about why they needed to spend more money, or why the car had to stay longer. I was so embarrassed to explain why [and how] we blew up a guy's motor twice. I was embarrassed to turn away customers because we did not have a technician that was capable of diagnosing their car. I was so embarrassed every time a customer brought their car back after a repair. I was a technician before I got into management, and this experience, working with these people, broke my heart a bit.
This establishment is literally too embarrassing to work with as a professional and too dangerous to do business with as a customer.
I hope you appreciate your vehicle enough to take it somewhere else [anywhere else]. read more
