It's also clean and has rather good selection of fast food operations from which to choose like a Popeye, Burger King and Meatball Obsession amongst about 4 others. The restroom facilities are also spacious, clean and without any foul smells. There is also plenty of available parking surrounding the place so no problem with crowded spaces or people swinging their doors open and banging your car. We love this service plaza! They have plenty of RV parking, as well as RV dump, potable water, and 24 hrs of electric hookup for $20. A great place to stop for the night. Restrooms inside are clean, a few restaurants available. Just don't buy gas here because it's super pricey! read more

After a lengthy drive, I needed to get out and stretch my legs a bit before rolling into Cleveland. I spotted this from the road and decided to stop in and check it out since it looked so pretty from the outside. Remarkably, this place is super nice for a "rest stop." Clean, well lit, with a beautiful interior. I strolled in here and loved what I saw. The entrance is clean clean clean! There's a gift shop, rest rooms, some vending machines and most importantly, good food! (for a rest stop!) There's a wonderful food court with a Burger King, Panera, Starbucks and a few other places in here as well. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. I cruised the gift shop to see what they had and checked out a few of the Kiosks as well. I found out that Panera has free wifi, so I dragged my computer in and sat down for a few minutes to take a brake from driving. Grabbed a bagel and hung out for a minute and really enjoyed my time here. If you're driving down the 90, stop in here for a quick break. They also have a gas station as well on the property. This is a cool rest stop with a bit of something for everyone. Starbucks is stationed here for those over exhausted from a long drive. If looking for souvenirs to take home from Ohio, they have some of the cutest souvenirs such as stuffed animals, T-shirts etc. Some other fun places available for eating/drinking are Popeyes, Aunt Annies, and Panera bread. There's a retro video game for extra fun. I can't forget to mention the lottery machine for a chance to win riches. Also, if you need a break, there is plenty of seating available for dining. Near I-90 mile marker 140 - Stop here for fuel - the next plaza is temporarily out while they undergo renovations. Panera Bread offers wi-fi, the attendants always keep this facility sparkling clean. Don't hesitate to stop here whenever traveling westbound along the Ohio Turnpike. read more

This rest stop has a good court to include a Hardees, Burger King, Panera Bread, Manchester Wok, Starbucks and a Popeyes. At Popeyes you have to pay extra for a drink with combo, which I found to be annoying and unusual for most other Popeyes. Middle Ridge Service Plaza also has a Gift shop, a game room and a small store with snacks and drinks. The bathrooms were pretty decent and big with lots of stalls. This place done food good. It is good in all ways, and the food has the three keys to success, or the three Ts of reviewing as I call them. TASTE TEXTURE TUMMY FEEL I stopped and went to Panera after a short tinkle break, and I'd say it was pretty gnar. Here are my ratings: Taste: Bathroom didn't taste very good, but that is expected. Toilet bowl tastes better than soap. The floor also tasted pretty good because it seems to be cleaned often. Now, Starbucks was a success with the taste, and I'd give this whole compound a solid 7 out of 10. Texture: Now this is peculiar because it seems the texture of the porcelain thrown is above average than most rest stops. The beautifully crafted curves of the mighty bowl left me in awe. This feeling did not leave me as I walked out of the stalls and made my way to the gift shop. The supreme bevels and artistic craft of the signs and floors is beyond me. I'd give it a good ol' 7 as well. TUMMY FEEL: Now, as you know this is the most important of them all. After licking the toilet I was left with a sense of tingling on my tongue and tummy, but that is expected. The Starbucks and panera were solid in this factor so I would have to give it a big huge 8. Overall, this rest area made me feel the opposite of what most rest areas do for me. I'm talking about a Service Plaza going westbound around mile marker 139 on the Ohio Turnpike. The Ohio Turnpike AKA the "James W. Shocknessy Ohio Turnpike" is a 241 mile-long, limited-access toll highway in the U.S. state of Ohio, serving as a primary corridor to Chicago and Pittsburgh. I travel this road frequently, day and night, and I am very grateful that Ohio has used its resources to build these exceptional top notch service plazas across the extent of the highway. Overall there are fourteen of these, seven westbound and seven eastbound. This one like many is new, modernly constructed, very clean and comfortable with great amenities. Some of the services and amenities here are: a Sonoco Service station 24/7; a Starbucks (can't beat that); a Popeye's; a Burger King; a Great Steak and Potato; a Hershey's Ice Cream; a Panera Bread; a Manchu Wok; a Truckers Lounge with couches, tables, separate restrooms and showers (pretty special); a gift shop; and ta da... very large and clean public restrooms. Few highway rest stops I have been at can beat what Ohio is providing. Thanks Ohio. We can all know that great service is always just a little ways up the road on the Ohio Turnpike. read more

As a trucker team, my husband and I don't park here overnight much anymore since we are always on the go. When we do we take advantage of the free showers that are clean and very quiet, especially late at night. Haven't done laundry here so not sure the quality of there units. Lounge area is alright, couple tv's and fair amount of seating. Truckers area is away from the food court which is nice, don't have to deal with the flow of passenger vehicle folks if you're looking to just hang out a bit in a quiet portion of the plaza. Fuel prices are usually pretty good especially if you're heading west out of PA, we all know it's not too cheap that was, especially for us O/O's. Food is fine. Burger King, Panera Bread, Starbucks, Chinese cuisine, Popeyes and I believe a Hershey's ice cream as well. Plenty of parking here too, tonight is pretty quiet on the east bound side, west bound is slammed right now. A good place to shut down, do your 10 hour or even your 34 hour reset if you need to. For passenger vehicle folks, a good place to stop, have a small variety of food/drink to choose from, also a lot of parking for cars. Drive safe everyone :) read more

Wouldn't you think that a service plaza would have some kind of WIFI for guests? Not this one! Starbucks and Panera both had low strength but sitting in the Food Court area was impossible to get enough signal strength to be able to pull up Map apps (which one might want to consult at a service plaza). The Burger King got the order wrong, Panera food (grilled cheese) was gross and neither of the two employees working at Auntie Anne's even acknowledged me standing AT the register waiting to place an order. One of the women looked at me- walked away from the register -went to get gloves on and then looked at me and proceeded to stare into the kitchen. They had plenty of pretzels, cinnapretzels, nuggets and other items ready to choose just apparently no interest in selling any of them @ $7.50 per pretzel. I am guessing these employees are NOT service plaza employees, but if I were running that service plaza, I would want to know how their customers are being treated. read more

There are a lot of these service rest stop areas on the way to Cleveland. I wish they had more of these on the way to Cincinnati. They are really nice and convenient for you to stop, use the washroom, eat, and fill up your tank all at one location. They usually have several restaurant options for you to choose from as well as little gift shops too. I got some Panera while I was here. read more

This rest stop was the cleanest one that I stopped in between Maryland and Michigan. There were plenty of stores inside and the restrooms were very clean. It wasn't terribly busy when I showed up, which was suprising, as it was right about lunch time. My family and I stopped at the starbucks, which only had three people working it, but since the whole place wasn't very busy it didn't seem to be a problem. I would imagine that this rest stop could get hectic on days other than national holidays, but my visit was good. read more

Extremely nice plaza, but I give the Starbucks 1 star. The girl working the counter couldn't name one sandwich they had and asked her coworkers for help, which is fine. They were annoyed that I asked which sandwiches they had but there were no labels or signs specifying. I was super nice about it, partly because I felt bad for the girl because she didn't even know how to work the register. Maybe she was new and they were busy, but they handed me a FROZEN EGG WRAP. I may be partly venting right now, but seriously? You can't even toss it in the microwave?
