Solid gas station that is open late. They have a nice take-out kitchen area with subs, burgers, etc. -typical gas station food. I don't know if they serve fried chicken but I was happy that the place didn't smell like it. Sometimes with small gas stations like this that serve fried food, the smell stays on you even if you were only in for a few minutes. The Gatorade selection was small. read more

I come here only when I'm in Ohio City. This is the only place I feel like it's reasonable and prices get you out fast and easy location.

This place is the worst. Yes the deli makes good food. But, the pumps are always broken, they smoke cigarettes in the back so half the time the inside smells like smoke, and bums hassle you for change while you're in the store. This place just seems to be a hot bed for sketchy stuff. I've seen fights break out in the parking lot. I've come out to my car to see someone testing the handle to see if they can get in. A guy cut me in line and when I said something he came back with a crow bar. This place just sucks man. The thing that really set me over the edge is one of the employees was straight up filming an attractive girl on his phone while she was standing there waiting for her food. That's super creepy and messed up. I will drive an extra minute to use a gas station that's not as run down and messed up as this one. read more

This is one of my favorite gas stations. I frequent gas stations as I drive for work. The staff is very friendly and I took a chance ordering food from a gas station. I was so glad I listened to my stomach. I got a steak sub with mushrooms, onions and peppers. Chipotle sauce topped my sandwich. They had a $5 special with a 6" sub, chips and a pop. Not bad. Don't laugh, but Ohio City Gas has the best homemade hummus in Cleveland. It is mind blowingly good hummus! I have converted multiple friends into gas station hummus fanatics and now I have requests from people in Columbus and Cincinnati to bring them containers of 'Mom's Homemade' hummus when I visit. The hummus itself is extremely creamy and delicious, but what's special about this gas station hummus is the variety of unique flavors they sell. My favorite is the chili mango hummus, but I've also tried the spicy garlic (it's REALLY spicy and garlicky) and the dill pickle. My mission is to try all of the flavors!! They only sell these in 8oz containers and they don't currently sell them anywhere except this gas station. It's totally worth driving for! I honestly can't even eat the mass produced hummus from the store anymore because it doesn't compare. Also, the gas prices are always on the cheap side. This place is an Ohio City staple that has avoided the obvious gentrification of the area. The most recent reviews sound like they were written by out of touch racists and non residents. Anyone in Ohio City knows every worker in that gas station and they are always taken care of. The quality sandwiches are always great and delicious and fresh and the homemade Hummus is the best on the west side, no paid promo required to know that. If you're in the area, get a sandwich, fill up your tank with the reasonably priced gas and try the hummus! read more

An indigenous gem in a sea of gentrification. Ohio City Gas is my favorite place to stop on my way home. The gas prices are fair, but the best part is Ohio City Subs and Ohio City Hummus! Wow. I never thought I could find this in a gas station but you must try it! The subs are made to order and they put love into them, delicious. And the Authentic Hummus (which is made by the owners' Palestinian mother) is out of this world. I love gyro here and hummus. As a regular customer, I know very well the food and sizes here. Well, today I went there and there was a guy working that I hadn't seen there before. I ordered a large gyro (my usual!), he made me a small one. They charged me for the large though... then the guy "made" the correct size for me. He made the small one again. If I ever decide to come back, I will not buy anything if that guy is serving. I may be a skinny woman, but I love food, and I don't like people messing with my portions! read more
