Excellent at explaining , making you feel comfortable. This was a surprise for my husband on our first wedding anniversary and he absolutely loved it!! He was able to help with the take off, flew at 2500 feet above the bay, did turns and assisted with the landing. It was an incredible experience and he earned .5 hour of flight instruction! We all wore headphones and used that to communicate. I like how Hunter was able to switch over the control to my husband and take it back. I felt safe although a little nervous when my husband took over but he did great!! Definitely will plan a trip back to this place next time we come in town and look forward to bringing the kids with us next time! (They do have larger planes as there was a family of 5 waiting when we returned for their flight ) We also received a tour where Hunter explained what we were flying over. My initial experience with this school was absolutely amazing and I credit that solely to my flight instructor. However, things changed in my life and I needed to pump the brakes on taking flight lessons. I reached out to the owner, Helen Frado, to return my money I put on my account back to me. She has been dodgy and unresponsive and I have yet to receive my money back. I do not recommend this school. I understand Part 61 program is preferred because of flexibility and paying as you go so you don't have to take out a large loan. I strongly discourage putting money in your account, because Helen will blatantly lie about sending you checks, say her "accountant" will return your money to your card. It will never happen. You will have to check in via email/phone calls to follow up several times only to be ignored. She will lie and say she never received your emails. You will experience probably the worst case of unprofessionalism I have ever experienced in my life. I am making this review because I don't want anyone to experience what I have. Aviation is a very well respected career that requires empathy, honesty and accountability. I am beyond appalled that someone that has worked as a pilot and now owns a school responsible for training and employing pilots is conducting themselves and their business this poorly. It is truly a shame. In my experience, Helen has proven herself to be an extremely dishonest person who greatly lacks accountability. I am grateful that I was able to see her true character before carrying out all of my flight training at this school.

I paid maybe $160 for a half-hour flight with maybe a half-hour of pre-flight instruction. I worked in aircraft simulation for many years, so I was familiar with the pre-flight procedures the pilot went through before the flight. We flew over downtown Annapolis and the bay near the Naval Academy. I was able to handle the controls for maybe about ten minutes. The scenery was fantastic from about 1500 feet up. It was just like being back in the simulators years ago. I don't know If I will get a pilot's license, but I would definitely go through them if I did. The instructors are very knowledgeable and professional. Excellent job. No complaints.

If you are looking to fly, do yourself a favor and at least check 1World out to compare. Once I discovered them, I wished I had found them sooner.

My friend and I came here and we filled out all our consent forms and gave them the Groupon code. Then they took us to the back and explained everything to us. In the plane, you basically sit shotgun while the experienced professional flies the plane into the air to a safe altitude and then they give you control. Flying the actual plane was such an amazing experience. It felt scarier than skydiving to me. The instructor let's you fly for about 20-30 minutes and then he takes you down to the location. He also lands the plane. It apparently gets added to your flight hours if you were planning on becoming licensed. This is a once in a lifetime experience that I high encourage you try. I don't regret it in the slightest and the staff here make you feel safe.

The information, the new sights and sounds come at you fast, but Jon presented all the information in a clear, intuitive way. Before I could get nervous, I had the throttle pushed all the way to the firewall, at Jon's command I'm pulling back on the yoke, seconds later - the exhilaration of flight. The facility is very nice and modern, they have lots of nice goodies available in a pretty fancy lounge area for students before class and during breaks - our class was in the morning there was a large variety of bagels, donuts, muffins, machines making mochas, cappucinnos, and other coffee drinks, tea, other stuff - comfortable chairs and little tables in a break area with a big screen TV set to ESPN and nice big windows.. all the staff we dealt with here seemed very enthusiastic, efficient, and friendly , and the instructor was very knowledgeable and great, we learned a lot! this school teaches all kinds of courses related to aviation, I highly recommend it based on our experience..

The quality and detail involved in the instruction here is superb - you feel like you're being given all of the information you need, from the basics to more complex properties of the helicopters. There was no point where I felt like the information was overwhelming or over-simplified: it seemed like the right mix of education and beginner's instruction. As for the flight, it's a blast! While I was far from talented at piloting the helicopter, I was given quite a lot of control over time, and I felt increasingly comfortable as time went on. I felt safe and monitored the entire time - even when a lot of wind blew the helicopter around, the instructor was available to make things right quickly and effortlessly. Needless to say, if you have the time and the money, give this place a shot!

He was very personable and knowledgeable. He pointed out various landmarks and places that we would be interested in seeing. He took the time to explain everything and throughly check the vehicle, it made us feel very safe and comfortable. Seth answered all questions, and even cracked a few jokes. I would definitely recommend them for celebrating a special occasion or just a romantic date. Make sure to ask for Seth by name you won't be disappointed!
