I'll be frank and admit because they called themselves a Christian center, I went there hoping to get some relief with some nice people. My experience was meh. I won't go into too much detail with costs, but if you don't have insurance, you're just screwed out of a good part of your paycheck. It costs way too much for just a consultation over a cold. The receptionist was short and acted like I had interrupted her day, and the doctor, while nice enough, made me feel pretty stupid when she diagnosed me with a common cold and asked, "Are you sure you feel bad?" Snarl. Boo. Hiss.

I work for a company that calls for medical records for our clients and in the past everyone I had spoken to from Christian Family Medical seemed very polite and genuinely helpful, so I assumed that they would be just as helpful with their actual paying patients. However, upon my return in February 2013 I made an appointment and was seen by the nice receptionist who, after looking at my file, informed me that my insurance wouldn't cover a wellness checkup within the same year period. I thanked her for letting me know and we rescheduled. Subsequently, I switched insurance companies and cancelled my appointment. I have since been billed for that "appointment", with a charge for a diagnosis that I have never been given. I called the office to try to inform them of the mistake, as I never even saw Dr. Petway, or even went to the back for that appointment. I was told that I would receive a call back and have not. Then my prior insurance company sent me a bill saying that I was diagnosed with Allergies due to Pollen by Dr. Petway. I have never had allergies in my entire life. When I called again to try to clear up the issue I was rudely interrupted and then hung up on. I have been waiting a call back, but as of yet have not received one. I worry that this is going to turn into some sort of fraud issue. By claiming to diagnose me with "allergies" I can't see how I can prove to them that I was not seen as there is no prescription that she would have had to write me. But the fact remains that I was never seen this year by Dr. Petway or any of her nurses so I do not feel that I should have to pay such an exorbitant amount. I am truly disappointed that this mistake has not been corrected and that the staff has been so rude in dealing with this issue. I understand that they are most likely overworked and have a lot of walk-in appointments to deal with but that is no excuse for such poor handling and potential fraud. I am actively seeking a new primary care physician and felt strongly enough about this issue to write a review.

Dr. Bailey and her team have been particularly caring, polite, an efficient in all of our interactions over the past several years. Scheduling and communications with staff have been exceptional. Time in the waiting room has been thankfully brief. And time in conference with the doctor and other staff has been prompt and efficient. Every step and moment of my experience with staff has been pleasant, informative, and comforting. Most notably, Dr. Bailey has shown a particular grace, concern and courtesy to me and my family.

I should have seen her regularly as the injury came back to haunt me. I've been dealing with some awful lower back pain and she is fixing it. It will take a little while for us to work through this phase and now I've learned my lesson - stay with her, see her regularly to maintain my health. She is amazing, as are the other docs and staff. She listens to you, really listens and takes the time to figure out how she and her team can help. You don't just get an adjustment and sent on your way. It's a journey with a handful of dedicated practitioners who want you to feel better. The practice as a whole is just fabulous. The staff are so great that I actually look forward to going.
