I met Dave 55 years ago while I was the leader of a band named 'The Torkays'. I wrote a song called…read more'Why Margie Why' and took it to WPDQ Radio and the program director listened to the song and instantly wanted to record it. And through that I met Dave at Cypress Recording Studios. In the early 60s we were the first band to record there. Dave and his unique sound programming allowed for our record to be noticed by the radio stations around the state. With his dedicated work ethic and knowledge of the music industry, Dave is a top notch studio that will never disappoint. This is what led me to revisiting Dave 50 years later when I attempted to find an original copy of my record.

I attended their first large event of '24 this past weekend that showcased ten local bands. Each band had their own unique and amazing cool sound! I'm a professional NYC actor and I was in a bind to complete a major voiceover audition. First, they moved things around to get me in in less than 24 hours. During my actual session, I was definitely nervous at first as acting is very vulnerable for me and its important to be comfortable. Both the owner and engineer assisted during my session and were incredibly patient, kind and knowledgeable. They provided VALUABLE feedback and understood the craft of voiceovers as it relates to range, inflection, tone and character (it over laps with music a lot). On top of all this, they were both incredibly encouraging, cheering me on along the way. It was an kid animation audition and I HAD to put my silly hat on to produce the best performance and they both jumped right in, and got silly with me which put me even more at ease Haha. I left saying wow that was SO FUN - which is what good acting should be! Thank you both again for your hard work and dedication to getting me the best possible product. I don't take professionalism and quality for granted. No disrespect as I'm originally from Jax but I honestly didn't expect this world class talent to be in Jax- they're definitely my go to guys if I have something in the future! Thank ya'll a mill.
