They always have a wide variety of strains from multiple producers in stock. It's fun to go in and see what's new, chat with the tenders to see what they've been enjoying, and do some evaluating of my own. The bud tenders here are interested in more than just checking you out. I'm sure they enjoy the business, but they seem to genuinely enjoy discussing the product. Tenders interested and knowledgeable of the products they are selling are very helpful. I like how the tenders accommodate me when I'm running in for a quick bag, but are receptive and informative when I do have time to shop around more. This place is cool.

When I tried to chat with the gentleman behind the counter he acted as though he was one of the rappers in the music. Short tempered, irritated and not pleasant to deal with. All the meanwhile the music over riding the majority of our conversation. Not a good encounter. Everybody has bad days right? So I gave it another chance a few months later (yesterday) When I entered the second time the same person (a 6'2" black male) was behind the counter with the same attitude and the same music. The first thing out of my mouth was " Hello, I need a battery for this cartridge". The first thing out of his mouth wasn't hello, welcome to our store, how can I help you or anything like that. With a condescending tone, his first comment was "you can't even have that in my store". Mind you, what I had was a legally purchased, in the box, cartridge of concentrates from the store up the road. And the only reason I showed it to him is because I wanted to make sure the threads fit the battery. When I asked him why he tried to fumble his way though some policy, never actually getting to the point other than because I said so. This isn't the 90s anymore and people don't want to be treated like criminals or condescended. The absolute only thing peace of mind has is a slight level of convenience over Amazon and eBay. Everything can be had on the Internet for a drastically reduced price(where do you think they get it). If you are a storefront in 2019 and you have disrespectful staff, you got nothing. If there was a kind face behind your counter who was courteous and respectful it would be a different story... but there isn't.

But since legalization, they've moved into a bigger shop on the main shopping strip in Spenard. They've expanded their offerings of hooka supplies, pipes, rolling papers, candles & incense, scales, and additives SIGNIFICANTLY. But their prices have skyrocketed and their service is absolutely garbage. When we went in, their were 3 cashier behind the counter and 2 customers. We waited for 10 minutes and no one acknowledged our presence, even after attempting to get help. Another woman who was trying to check out was also expressing her frustration. When we did finally get help, the dude was not very helpful. I was going to buy some incense to supplement my partner's order, but by this point we had been there about 20 minutes and I was extremely irritated so I walked out so I didn't start saying things I regret. They will not EVER get my business again. Idk about my partner, but when I saw his receipt I felt he could have been charged significantly less and been in and out in 5 minutes in many other stores in town. It's a big NO for me.

When travelling during a…read morefishing trip, I strolled in and mentioned a Tobacconist that had since closed his doors (Tewksbury) over 3000 miles away, the best Pipe tobacco I had ever had. The staff there knew exactly the blends I liked, suggested 2 others that they thought would satisfy. The Port Barrow is spectacular. Similar to Bar Harbor I had years ago, just as they suggested. And Stoney's hit the same notes as the Hobbits Weed I was a fan of. Moist not wet, and smooth. To this day, I have not found G&Ps parallel. I am literally getting it shipped to me because I have never found better. Hats off to you gentlemen, you are an artist of a dying craft.
