When we returned home from our trip, I reached out to Boyer, took photos of the wrapper, exp. date, etc. & sent it to them. I was told someone would contact me. They never did. I reached out again & received a reply that the inside LOOKED flaky so it was fine. You've got to be kidding me. This is the way a candy company responds. No wonder stores all stopped stocking Clark Bars. If this is all the better the company is at standing behind their product, it's no wonder!

The staff are some of the kindest people we met on our trip. The shelves were fully stocked with all kinds of classic treats. We saw a s'mores kit made with Mallo Cups that looked perfect for a campfire night. I…read morerecently stopped in to grab a sweet snack when my husband and I were in town on a quiet road trip getaway together. The store is surprisingly big and bright, with a large, long case full of all sorts of sugary treats. There was a wide assortment of filled chocolates and other kinds of chocolate candies. The middle of the store has several shelves of wrapped novelty candies, gummies and hard candies, gift items, and greeting cards. At the front there is also a small ice cream case for hand-dipped cones and sundaes. My attention diverted to a case with one of my favorite sweet treats--the fudge case. There were at least ten fudge flavors, or so. I asked if I could get a quarter-pound small box with a piece of three flavors I'd like to try, to which the very kind counter attendant happily obliged. I selected the cherry nut, peanut butter, and strawberry cheesecake flavors. I also purchased a funny greeting card for my brother's upcoming birthday. When my husband and I were back in our room later, the fudge did not disappoint! It was creamy, fresh and flavorful, with a little bit of the super-sweet treat going a long way! I was very pleased with my candy and card purchase from Dan Smith's, and would gladly stop by again the next time we are in cute lil' Clarion PA.
