Midtown Delites (Yes, that's the spelling) was a small and simple cafe in Merimbula offering prepped foods, a few baked goods, sweets, cold drinks, sandwiches and coffee. My main reason for coming here was their early hours. Specifically, this was the only place open in town at 6:30 am; which was typically when I needed to pick up lunch on the way to our remote work site (and when I was otherwise out of groceries). The sandwiches here were basic, simple and relatively inexpensive; not much more to say. The meats and bread were store-bought, though thankfully the sandwiches were prepared to-order, not pre-made. Like most cafes in town, the coffee was pretty good. MD fulfilled a basic need and I'm glad it was there; but I can't recommend it as the first place to try during normal working hours. read more
