Regardless, my trial period is long gone, and Vivint has forced me into this contract. If you want home security, I'm sure Vivint is the same as everybody else. If you want out, they sure as hell won't let you.

(Highly recommended as burglars love to shimmy a screwdriver between your door and lock & open into your place easier than a SPAM can.) Pro Video Security let us select the guard. They gave a great bid to put install. We even chose to do 2 doors, given their great rate. Flash forward to 6 months later we found a small (but significant) installation error on one of the doors. Rather than haggle and hassle, they came right out and fixed it at ZERO extra cost. (As expected.) On top of that: The fix came right on time. We caught this picture of a rather infamous trio (USPS is after them) trying to break in and being foiled by the door guard. SEE PIC.

I bought the equipment from Provideo and I am all the way in California, so I had a local person install the equipment for me, and Perry took over the remote customer service, which has been far above and beyond what anybody could ever expect from customer service. If anything goes wrong, he is right there ready to help me fix it and get it up and running again. I could probably find someone locally, but there is no way I would ever find such great, friendly, knowledgeable customer service. So wherever you are in the world, these guys are the best! We had a…read morefriendly discussion with the service guy, Nate, so much so that most of the hour charged to us was discussion about family, etc. What he failed to tell us is that we would be charged $2.00 for every minute of friendly discussion!! If he had told us that, then we would have greatly reduced our personal chit-chat! Then when I called to have our bill reduced, they said we had to pay the full amount of $260! I do not mind the $100 for the service call and maybe ~ 10 paid minutes it took to say we need a new faucet, but I DO MIND paying 50 minutes X $2.00/minute = $100 for a friendly discussion!! I do not know the quality of their work because they did not do any. I eventually replaced the faucet myself.

They said they will have some cartridges on the truck and if they don't have them they will run out and get them. They gave me a 4 hour window on Tuesday to work with. They called 3 hours into the window saying they would take a picture of the valve and replace it tomorrow. Wednesday. When I cannot do it. I could have rescheduled for Thursday, but I decided to cancel and give someone else a try. Hopefully someone who values their customer's time better.
