Found this business on Groupon. Read reviews and thought, I could use that! Came in for appt and saw a few things I look for: CLEAN, friendly and relaxing. I didn't feel pressured to spend more money. It's a huge plus and almost rare in Groupon service finds. I had a microdermabrasion treatment. Like a fine grade mild um, sandpaper on a hand tool. It's not as dramatic as I write. Painless, in fact I think I fell asleep. Received a vitamin C and something else treatment. Result: yes! My pores in T-zone appeared smaller and face left feeling fresh. Felt pampered and looking better. Plus knowing impurities were extracted let's me know my complexion will be nice. Complaint: I bought 2 Groupons for same service and both were cashed in. Called and no call back received. read more

I started going here because of a Groupon offer for cavitation treatments. I continue to go because it's reasonably priced on package offers, and because my aesthetician, Molly, is great. The owner, Danielle is also friendly and knowledgeable. I have added RF treatments on my thighs as it is nice to have them toned up for the summer. I have a few more cavitation treatments to go to get the results I want, but the ladies here make me feel at home in the meantime. I look forward to trying other treatments since it's less expensive than having the same things done at a dermatologist's office. I started with MWAA through a groupon. The staff there never made me feel like I was getting a discount treatment for my skin. Since that time I'm four Epilfree treatments in on my face, and have become a monthly member to help me take better care of my skin. What a great deal! Tonight my husband and I attended their actual launch of Epilfree, a permanent hair removal product that actually works on blonde hair! If you didn't make it to the open house, ask them about their packages. You won't regret going in. Everyone is so incredibly friendly! No high pressure sales, just great skin care offered! read more

It's so refreshing to be greeted with enthusiasm and confidence. My services, lash extensions and the best facial I have ever had. Lashes have changed my life! I found Tara O'Connor via a Groupon years ago when she was at another spa. I followed her here because she's simply amazing. She's extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of skin care and I get consistently great results. And this recovering sun addict needs a face expert! They have an optional monthly membership which gives me great deals and keeps me from slacking off my "maintenance". They sell the Image line of products - I have several and give everything I've tried very high marks. read more

Went in today for my first microdermabrasion treatment and tightening facial. Was nervous, but Jessica made everything very comfortable and even played some music that I wanted! The treatment was much less aggressive than I thought (I was afraid it would hurt - not at all), and she explained everything thoroughly and prior to doing it. I was so happy with the experience, and the bonus - my face feels like it's 12 years old again. I sent probably 3 different pictures to friends. Knowledgeable staff, and didn't pressure me to buy a ton of products on my way out, which made me feel like they actually care about what they're doing and not the money they're making. 5 stars! read more

Went there for the first time today because of a Groupon. I had the anti aging, skin tightening facial preformed by Michelle. Ms he was wonderful, and my face feels phenomenal! Can't wait to go for another treatment. Location is a little off the beaten path, in an office building, but is is very quiet and relaxing. The owner has done a great job with decorating. I'm not sure if Luli H. went to another Midwest Anti Aging or something, but my experience is totally the opposite as hers. Danielle is sweet and friendly. I liked how she is very meticulous and even recommended products to me (she didn't sell that, just told me where to get them from). While the place is odd because it's in an office building, it's private and quiet. The place is very clean and does have towels AND sheets. I totally support small businesses and I would go back to Midwest Anti Aging again. read more

I LOVE Midwest Anti Aging and Tara! I always feel so relaxed and comfortable AND see results fast with my facial treatments. The monthly membership is a great idea and helps me stay on top of scheduling and taking care of my skin, while being able to try other services. The radio frequency treatment is awesome and I always feel amazing when I walk away! They carry a great line of products as well. I've had 5 appointments (cavitation and radio frequency) and haven't noticed a difference whatsoever. I was told that it could take 3-4 treatments before noticing a difference, which is why I continued to go. After 3 treatments, I mentioned how I still had yet to see any kind of results, I was told that it could take up to 4 treatments before noticing a difference. I was also told that they would turn the machine up to 100%, in hopes of making a difference. I couldn't help but wonder why it wasn't up to "full speed" or at "full power" to begin with? After 2 additional treatments (5 in total), I didn't see any kind of difference whatsoever from where I first started. I've also always had treatment done on the same spot (abdomen). To have gone for nearly 2 months and not have any change or see any result whatsoever is very frustrating and has resulted in me feeling like I've just wasted hundreds of dollars. I started going to Danielle at Midwest Anti Aging for chemical peels in January of this year. She started me out with a mild peel to gauge how my skin would react before progressing to a medium peel. Danielle is always knowledgeable about their products, both that they use and sell in the spa. She is good to provide recommendations on my skincare routine as well. You can tell that she loves what she does. The rest of the staff that I have had contact with are always friendly as well. I will continue to come here for my skincare needs! read more

I bought a groupon for 3 brazilian waxes and the lady told me she only did the front and not the back. From what I know a Brazilian wax is the whole think. And the job was not that great. Anyways I thought the place had no hygiene. She did not disinfect the table for waxing neither had any towels or sheets on top of it. I felt kind of gross out, but since I paid for it. I did it anyways. I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I bought a Groupon a couple of years ago, and I have been frequenting MWAA ever since. I used to get the express facial with the add-on radio wave treatment, but I was recently introduced to an hour long relaxing facial!! Jessica does an amazing job! The facial is great, but the upper body massage is to die for! The music, the products, the fragrances, and the massages put you in a trance. I came for the Groupon but stayed for the great deals and even better service! The radio wave treatment stimulates the collagen, and one of my friends asked me what I have been doing. In July 2012 I tried this spa through a LivingSocial offer. It was a pain to get an appointment. Then when I arrived at my scheduled time I was made to wait 30 minutes. I was then hastily taken into a stark room and told to laid down on a table. No wrap was provided. The entire rip off procedure was done while I worried about product being slopped onto my clothes. When I asked why there was not wrap I was told in a pretentious tone that it was because they were "very medical". Yeah right! I laughed in her face at that and would never go back. I am new to KC and went there to get eyelash extensions. I purchased a Groupon for a full set and refill. I will NOT be returning for the fil in. I have worn extensions for over a year. I know how to maintain and care for them, and generally only go for a fill in once a month. Within a week over 50% of the lashes are gone. I called in an attempt to use my fill in sooner but nothing was available. When I explained the problem with the lashes I was told that my natural lashes must just be getting used to the extensions. Clearly not the case, because as I said, I have had lashes for over a year. read more

I signed up for a Yelp account for the sole purpose of writing a review about the horrible experience I had with Midwest Anti Aging last summer (yes, I still get angry about it). I purchased a Groupon for a single Brazilian wax and immediately scheduled an appointment for it. I received a text confirmation for the appointment a couple days in advance which I was impressed with. Sadly, I deleted the text, thinking nothing of it. When I showed up for the appointment in some sad, sketchy looking building, I was told that I was late for my appointment and had already missed 15 minutes of the alotted 30 minutes. Confused, I said I was absolutely on time and I received a text confirming the time. The woman was completely unhelpful, rude and unprofessional and blamed the situation on me and how she couldn't be wrong because she wrote in the time herself. Unwillingly to compromise, I was forced to leave the shady business and reschedule. I'm not sure what happened with the miscommunication, but she was so rude I almost let the Groupon go to waste so I didn't have to go back. Thankfully this didn't happen a second time, and I received the service. For the actual service, another woman was very nice, but it was a sloppy job. Not only could I see through the thin wall to the other "room" but I got home and the job wasn't even thorough (aka many patches still there). DO NOT GO HERE. Not only is the customer service an absolute nightmare, the services aren't even good enough to warrant such awful CS. Be warned that you will regret going here. read more
