Don't call me! ORIGINAL POST The first time I came here for Dermaplanning and a Hydro facial it was fantastic. I had Jennifer and she told me what to expect, what was happening during the facial. We discussed my skin and what I could do to improve, I loved Jennifer. This review is for Amy, someone that I unfortunately got because Jennifer was booked. She was very friendly and nice, it was when we started the dermaplanning that it went downhill. First as soon as I laid down she started shaving my face(dermaplanning) and I just could tell it was different then my 1st experience. She was going much faster, the blade hurt a lot more, i knew a cut was coming because she seemed to just rush through it. The cut is small yes, but was painful and bleed so much. She had to hold a napkin on my face then leave it there to soak the blood while again rushing through the rest of my face. I get home and I'm taking a closer look at my face, and I see and feel several missed spots. I also notice when I'm doing my hair I felt short spikey hair along my hair line. She cut my actual head hair! How does that even happen? Now I have these weird short hairs right in from of my hairline. I also have a wedding coming up so that will be super great on photos. ( Still had to pay 60$ for this session and drive 45 minutes to get to this place.. just such a waste of time.) I just expected it to be more professional and for a cut, missed spots, and cutting my hairline to never happen. I would not recommend Aestheticare to anyone who wants to feel valued as a customer. I bought approximately $2,000 worth of laser tattoo removal sessions that was described as "top of the line" at the point of sale, however, six treatments in, I was notified they were no longer offering this service. During this call, I was notified that the Leawood location was no longer providing the service because they did not wish to purchase "antiquated technology". After selling a customer approximately $2,000 worth of treatments, the last thing a customer wants to hear is the technology is "antiquated". I understand it might not make sense for them to purchase the laser from a business perspective, however, selling loyal customers a service you know is not high quality is, at BEST, deceptive. Additionally, during the course of my treatment, I had one laser session that provided mixed results- swaths of the tattoo were untouched while others were painful, red and blistered. I provided Aestheticare photos and outlined my concerns and the manager was actually combative and rude in his response. He actually argued with me, saying the whole tattoo had been treated and that it was a "normal" response, despite the obvious discrepancies. It is worth noting, at this point in time, I already completed what I believe were five removal sessions. I am confident in my own ability to judge what areas were treated versus those that were not. During this time, I requested my medical records over the phone and via email, yet I never received them. Five weeks later, I am still waiting on a response. To their credit, they did eventually provide me a credit for the botched session and also eventually refunded my pre-paid account balance for future sessions, as they should. To make matters worse, my new treatment provider notified me I had visible scarring, hyper-pigmentation and hypo-pigmentation. They also notified me that the technology that had been used was most likely 85% heat versus their technology which utilizes 15% heat. I cannot speak to this specifically because I do not know the exact laser they used. I would surmise this is the culprit of my scarring. So much for last year's promises of "cutting edge technology". Final thought: the estheticians are kind and I have no ill feelings toward them. If the management had treated me kindly and been more up front about what technology they used and how it compared to the industry, they could have kept a loyal client for the other services. UPDATE: Calling the technology "antiquated" was not my verbiage. That is verbatim from the manager who used the description when explaining why Aestheticare was no longer offering laser removal. I believe his exact words were, "Aestheticare did not want to purchase antiquated technology." read more

Everyone was very nice and the consult I got was very thorough! However, I was not happy with my botox and received no assistance in a follow up to address the situation. I have been getting Botox for a few years and you could not tell I received Botox after Meredith's injections. I was told I would need more next time and to come back in 3 months. My face takes Botox really well which makes me concerned about the product that was used. A have some friends who have also stopped going to Aestheticare due to their Botox not working and being told they need more. read more

I'm writing this on Yelp, because the manager, Rick Dunn, banned me from Aestheticare after I wrote a one-star review on Google after the way I was treated by him. I'm a 15-20 year client of Aestheticare who was treated badly by Mr. Dunn when I asked a question of the nurse who administered shots that cost $600 over a period of two weeks, and then complained to him about how she treated me for asking her a question. I'd never before experienced anything like this from any of the lovely nurses and aestheticians I'd seen there before. He took NO action when I emailed him until I wrote a one-star review. When I wrote him a one-star review, he almost immediately responded to tell everyone that I was a dissatisfied customer who wasn't a "good fit" for Aestheticare and that we needed to part ways. He sent me an email letting me know this and that I couldn't come back. Seriously??? I'd been doing just fine over the past 15-20 years as a client, and all of a sudden my personality doesn't fit? In my opinion, this man should not be in the position he's in. Actually he did me a favor because I discovered a new place that does better work and costs 1/10th of the price. I started getting Botox a year ago, and had gone to the dermatologist where I live for my injections. I happened to be in Kansas City and had heard wonderful things about Aestheticare, so I made an appointment for Botox because I was due. The entire experience was fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and professional and Judy (who administered the injections) was amazing. She thoroughly explained everything (something my dermatologist had never done). I got a helpful aftercare sheet and an ice pack. The results are fantastic! Three friends of mine are now getting Botox because they liked mine so much. I had heard great things about AesthetiCare from friends when we lived in the KC area. My wife was returning to KC this spring for a few weeks and so I decided to try and get her an appointment for Cool Sculpting. She's had 2 children and has ALWAYS hated losing her flat pre-baby stomach. No matter what she did in terms of diet and exercise (and she was a female amateur boxer in the past) that baby pooch just would not go away! I wasn't sure if they could fit her in due to her limited availability, but boy, was I surprised. Not only was she able to meet with the Cool Sculpting specialist for a consultation, BUT she was able to get several areas sculpted at her second appointment. We live in California and so this procedure had to be completed during her trip or it wouldn't get done, I mean who can really afford Orange County, CA prices these days?? Needless to say, the pricing was much cheaper than what we had anticipated AND 2 months post procedure her stomach looks AMAZING!! When we return to KC again for our next family visit, we will be scheduling her to get her "love handles" Cool Sculpted. Also, they now have a Lawrence location and, if possible, we'll most likely go there. We have family and friends we stay with while in town who live in that area, which makes AesthetiCare a DOUBLE win!! read more

I love Aestheticare!! Over the last four years, I have gone there for botox on my forehead, around my eyes, and to raise one of my eyebrows. They do a great job!! Due to moving for a year, I went to two other places, and Aestheticare is by far superior in every way. Yesterday I had Cellfina performed on my buttocks and upper thighs. Came in over 2 weeks ago for restylane and dypost. Meredith was very nice , I mean extremely nice, nicer than most people. I was pretty disappointed that she only used 0.4 of the syringe but after talking to her and realizing that my eyes swelled and she didn't feel comfortable putting more in it really did make more sense. I have very fair skin and I'm prone to bruising so I did have two black eyes that she offered to work on but unfortunately I was leaving town. Came in today for my follow-up and was very put off by the receptionist and how rude she was. Very snotty and rude refused to tell me what her name was excetera excetera. Today Meredith went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy. I could do without the front desk woman or ever having to deal with her but because Meredith impressed me that much I will give them 5 stars read more
