On top of that, they are all over-all very kind, and genuine people. I leave there not only physically feeling refreshed, but with a well understanding. I was able to get in in a very reasonable amount of time with the doctor. Dr. Johnson listened to my concerns, and came up with a treatment plan. We have worked on finding the route of the problem, and not just managing the symptoms.

I was treated like a King pre and post surgery. Dr. Shadid spent all the time necessary in pre-surgery visits. I never once felt short-changed on an office visit. All my gel and cortisone injections were performed by Elliott. He explained the procedures every step of the way before the procedure and also while he was doing them. I am completely comfortable with him performing these procedures. He remembers me each time and details about my life and we have conversations beyond the medical issues at hand. You'll never meet a nicer guy. The front office staff are polite and attentive. They greet you with a smile and wish you a good day as you exit. I cannot recommend Genesis highly enough.

My orthopedist completely misdiagnosed me, and he completely brushed off what I had thought it…read moremight be. He said that was too rare and he never sees it. Turns out it was what I had thought and was extremely severe. They sent me to do PT at a location which didn't have any actual PT appointments open for 3 months... But they allowed me to do a initial appointment to get a screening done which cost $140. Just to find out later that they just recommend I go somewhere else because they have no appointments, but of course you need a screening anywhere you go, so that was $140 down the drain. The final straw for me leaving this review is how hard they make it to get your own medical records. Their website says you can call their phone number which is just a robot which claims to call you back in 1 hour, but it was 3 days for me. Just to tell me you can only do it online and they charge you $6.50 to get your own test results, which I already paid to have done... Absolute scam of a practice. Stay Away.

My elderly mom (age 85 with early Alzheimer's) rolled her ankle a few weeks ago. I took her to the…read moreemergency care and she was given a boot to wear. Well, it pumps up with air and then you release the air with a button to take it off. It was too confusing for her to use it so she just stopped! I took her in for a follow up appointment and told Dr. Peterson that this boot was too difficult for her to use. He said he would give her an ankle brace so she could still wear her shoe. Dr Peterson did a thorough exam and we felt like he listened to our concerns. We then we're handed off to an assistant who fitted an ankle brace on mom. It had shoelace ties that you didn't have to tie (thank goodness) and multiple Velcro straps that wrap around under your arch snd back to the ankle area. Ok, we'll give this one a try. By the next day it was clear that this ankle brace was too difficult for mom to put on herself as well. I ended up going to a medical supply pharmacy and buying one off the shelf that is a little easier for mom to manage. At least she will wear the over the counter model, which is better than not wearing one at all. We have a follow up appointment in a couple of weeks so hopefully the ligaments around her ankle have had time to heal. Overall we had a good experience at Suburban Orthopedics.

The practice has a 15 minute grace period yet I still called to tell them I was 5-10 minutes behind. They said that was fine. Then as I was already on my way, they called me to tell me to reschedule. I had broken my toe since my last appointment and my visit was probably going to take longer than expected. Would I have been thrown out if I had taken the extra time? It's hard to imagine that quality care can be given if they are counting the minutes that way. I understand the need to be on time. However as a long time patient, I would think that some grace can be given. Also, why have a policy at all if the practice doesn't abide by it ?! Extremely angry and annoyed.

To say that Dr.Freedburg is a good surgeon is like saying that Michael Jordan is a good basketball player . Dr.Freedburg is (for my money) one of the best surgeons in the country ! As a former patient of his I feel confident in saying that no matter the injury Worker's Comp, Sports or just Old Age Dr. Howard Freedburg should always be your first choice in Medical care. His staff is wonderful and the facilities are excellent . When you first meet him do not be put off by his International Playboy-Jet setter persona, he is as down-home as Mom's apple pie and quite the Fashion Plate. I found him to be very kind, SUPER EASY to talk to and compassionate toward not just me but all his patients( I would as them what they thought of him while I waited to be called). Dr.Freedburg will always be my choice for Orthopedic care . Surgery was on 04/2015.
