I used to live near by and was referred by a friend to Joel back in 2009. I started visiting way back then. At that time they were located down on Main Street. I have only received the very best care and ultimate kindness by staff from day 1. Years later they moved to their current location. Since then I've moved an hour and a half away. I have come back a several times, and then when I thought it was too far to drive, I decided to visit a couple of dentists in my local area, which all of them ended up a nightmare.. So here I am back again in Lodi driving an hour and a half for a dental appointment. After the last dentist visit in Beloit, who jacked up my teeth. I called here to see if I could get a visit they got me in in less than a week and when I got here for my appointment I had assumed I would need two crowns and I was correct. I definitely needed two crowns. Although I only had an appointment to have them take a look at my teeth. They told me we know you have a really long drive. We can fit you in today if you don't mind, So I said yes!!!! And here I am having them put in same-day crowns on both teeth, I don't have to come back for multiple visits. I don't have to have a temporary crown. This place is amazing! I feel like no matter where I move. I will always come back to Lodi Valley Dental for dental work.!!!!! Also, everything here is state of the art, their cameras, their x-ray machines, their crown making machine. Unfortunately, I couldn't save the tooth; a crown wasn't an option, so I had to have surgical removal of erupted tooth. Dr. Andrew Nothem and his assistant (I forgot her name--Kyle, I think) were fantastic! They took X-rays and performed an evaluation of the tooth. They let me know exactly how much everything would cost, so I wasn't surprised by the final bill. Everyone in the office was very polite and professional, and the office itself was also very clean. I highly recommend this place; they have a great team working there. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that one of the doctors spoke Polish in that facility . I have never paid so much money to be talked to so rudely. The fillings they did less than 6 months…read moreago chipped and I was told I need to pay 3500 (after TWO insurances) to repair my teeth. When I explained how I cant afford that, (with a baby coming and heart surgery), I was told to ask my mom and dad or grandparents to pay for it. I was scoffed at when I said I didn't want x-rays (due to being pregnant). I was asked if I eat unhealthy and I explained I eat very healthy and have gestational diabetes so eat even healthier now and the minute I said diabetes she said "oh that's why." I asked, "that's why what?" And she said diabetes from eating unhealthy will cause these issues with your teeth. Very little health literacy on her part. Diabetes is more genetic, not all cases are from diet, especially gestational diabetes. I was charged $70 for the 10 minute "exam" where all they did was lift my lip up and look at their messed up work.

They had to get a pregnancy test of course, so what do they do? Have me walk myself to the bathroom. I had a dizzy spell on the way and almost fell in the hallway. Rather than make sure I was okay, the woman walking with me was very rude and told me not to scream because I was scaring the children in the waiting area. I honestly couldn't care less about scaring the children. I care more about my safety. Obviously they did not. I also had my eyes covered and had asked that people keep their voices down because loud noises and bright lights would make me vomit until I couldn't anymore. The nurse very rudely said, in her loudest voice, that she had to get info from me. You couldn't do it in a softer tone of voice? Because throwing up also impedes my giving information to you. I just wish the service when I went was a bit more compassionate.

Went in for an ER visit due to severe abdominal and back pain with vomiting. Gave him pain meds 2 different time (different kinds to help the pain) neither worked, no one came to check on us during those 4 hours except when we had to ASK for someone to come in. Stubitson didn't even talk to us before diagnosing and now we are now admitted at St. Mary's because they failed to diagnose pancreatitis. Thanks for the waste of time and telling my significant other not to panic because "everyone throws up". They did a blood test but never did any other kind of imaging or tests to diagnose his issue. I recommend choosing a different hospital if you are looking for emergency or urgent care because although the nurse was nice, Stubitson brushed us off, was rude, and failed to diagnose or order correct imaging.

I'm generally terrified to go to the dentist, based on some really bad experiences in my past. Everything about this office is different. The receptionists were friendly and extremely helpful as I transferred records from a different dentist. The hygienist was wonderful, taking care to ensure my comfort throughout the process. And Dr. Carly was a breath of fresh air. It was the first time in years that I've been to a dentist who didn't try to up-sell me on everything from unnecessary crowns to Botox.
