I have been going to this clinic for over 10 years, no more. today I encountered one of 5he rudest employees. I called back to talk to the manager and she said she was the manager. I will not be going back. I think her name was Stephanie or Samantha not sure. rude and obnoxious. Went in today after a HORRIBLE 3 hour experience at Northshore Hammond! I left a review there as well. But we ended up here after failed attempts and sealing my 3 year old daughters gash she got on her forehead. She was treated very quickly even though she was a new patient! Company is charging different fees for people. If you have insurance, you will be charged much more than if you do not use your insurance. Called the clinic and they tried telling me that they don't set their own prices ... the insurance company does. I was there last Thursday to check if I had COVID or any other infection, the nurse practitioner refused to give some medicine for COVID because I tested positive, I asked her why? She said that it was just for patients with some health conditions, so I'm here with sore throat, chills even my house is 76° and I covered with blankets, headache, muscle pain, a lot of flames I feel horrible. I have been round and round with them, spoken with numerous managers, even had a conference call between their billing person and my insurance company, but yet today I received a text trying to collect $146 from me. I want these people to take me to court at this point so I can counter sue for harassment, because when I've paid , proven I paid, had my insurance company prove the bill was paid and you still try to collect you are effectively harassing me. My college student daughter had laryngitis and a mild sore throat, and went in for a free COVID test so she could go to work at her childcare job. She was blindsided with a dr visit that she didn't request, and they informed her they were doing a strep and flu test, while they were already initiating it, even tho she did not have fever, body aches or severe sore throat indicating a need for any additional testing. I can't wait to see the bill they stick her with...I guess it was a slow day and they needed to drum up some charges from an unsuspecting kid with no medical background. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. The Physicians and Plebotomists are phenomal. The office staff and office manager are completely incompetent. If you need them to contact your insurance or you need prior authorization for a long time medication, run the other way. After two months, multiple phone calls from myself and my pharmacy, we were given excuse after excuse why the paperwork was not handled, they were not sure Who in fact was handling it, and the reason for the issue. After speaking to my insurance, they said that only yesterday after two months was a form finally submitted and it was for the wrong medication. The office manager told me on the phone yesterday that it was denied by insurance. The insurance company explained that it was not for that medication, but for a different medication that does not need a PA and that I did not have the prescription for that one. When I called to ask why, I was told "It's not my job, it's not my problem, I cannot speak for the others here that spoke to you, but I don't do those". The pharmacy has a record of speaking to that person twice as well as the office manager. So disappointed. read more

Horrible, from the clerk, the doctor, nurses, and even the facility doesn't look clean.. I had a very bad sore throat. I was put in a room for 2 hours,definitely not express. no one came to check on me, NOTHING. And when I asked about how much longer was told " oh yeah the doctor will be with you soon". No professionalism! The doctor came in he didn't introduce himself, looked at my throat and ears and said "boy that is red". Gave me a prescription and left. Didnt ask me if I had any questions NOTHING!!. They also did a throat culture and assured me I would get a call and let me know about the results, no call after 5 days, I had to call them. I explained my symptoms weren't all gone and was told well come back and see the doctor. So now I'm suppose to pay another $50 and be treated bad again. I told the lady no way am I giving you or this dump any more of my money. read more

Beware we are going on 6 days of no results from covid-19 test. They do not warn about this. We were told results would take 3 days so with that in mind we agreed to pay the charge. The worst! Went in for a COVID test. They wouldn't accept my insurance even though MY EXACT INSURANCE IS LISTED AS ACCEPTABLE ON THEIR WEBSITE. And I filled out all of the forms on-line before I went..........which they accepted. Get there and find out from a really rude employee that they won't accept my insurance after all and "why don't you just pay us $200 and file with your insurance company" was their response. REALLY? You try to do the right thing and get tested and this is what you encounter. Disgusting. They ought to be ashamed of themselves. I have heard other negative things about this location. I called this urgent care to ask if they did particular lab testing. I was told on the phone that they did. I walked in and spent my own money for said lab testing, in excess of 350$. I spoke with the young lady at the counter about the testing and she stated they did offer that particular lab test. When I saw the Provider, she also stated they did the lab testing. About 5 days later I get my lab results and the particular test, a bee sting allergy, was not on the paperwork. The Provider seemed confused but said, well I'm sure they did test for it but since it's not on here you must not be allergic'. Not feeling that confident I call the testing lab and they stated they don't even test for the bee sting allergy Pretty upset I called the urgent care and spoke to the manager. I ended up visiting the location to explain the situation. The manager was very understanding and helpful. She told me they would refund all my money. Well after a week I called several times and the manager was busy every time but she finally did call me back and explained the owners would not refund the price of the lab test since I got the results, results I did not want or need. So in the end I paid 250$ for services I neither wanted or needed but was promised things I never got. If this is the way they chose to conduct business I advise not going there. read more

Dr. Chube was my "provider" and I cannot express how disappointed I am with the low level of care I received at this clinic. From the uninformed front desk staff, to their website that advertises certain services that they flat out didn't provide. I called ahead of time to ask if there was a healthcare provider on staff to assist with my current symptoms, in an attempt to "know before I go" essentially so that I do not waste my time, as it is shown on their website. However, I wanted to be certain someone was able during that time frame. My symptoms were so bad, so I did go, as it's near my home and far less expensive than the emergency room. During the appointment, mind you I was actually in tears, Dr. Chube did not perform any examination, but of course still accepted my money (I paid out of pocket) and recklessly wrote me a prescription for a very strong drug, one that no competent physician would prescribe for the symptoms I was having. I've followed up with THREE other providers because this didn't seem right, who all informed me that this is not up to standard practice and encouraged me to follow up with the clinic manager. Actually, I ended up having to go to the ER because my symptoms worsened, but again, this clinic advertises that they provide these services which is why I went there. This office doesn't return calls, and their manager doesn't bother to address my concerns. Midwest Express clinic in Munster has demonstrated the persistence of racial bias that exists in healthcare and the need for more diversity in the healthcare system. I've spoken to two different people, Stacy and Viviana, regarding my experience and have yet to be presented with a solution. read more

Originally I thought this location was great for COVID testing, however I took my test on the 26th of June and haven't had a single call with my results. Thank God for Walgreens on 95th and King Drive that provided 2 hour results and a return to work letter all in the same day. My experience here started off very well with the front desk staff being very pleasant and the wait time in the waiting area being minimal, but that's where it ended. I had been waiting in the exam with my daughter for over an hour and I was not happy but when the doctor came in she was very apologetic and made my daughter feel very comfortable during the exam. there is literally nothing express about this place. the first time i came i was a walk in so i wasnt too miffed about waiting 40 minutes in the waiting room, especially since the actual doctor visit was speedy (i was there a total of about an hour.) fast forward to now, when i have a 10:30 APPOINTMENT for a follow up. i showed up ten minutes early. it was another 45 minute wait in the waiting room. it is now 11:37 and i have been sitting in the exam room for 30 minutes. so in the time that i have been waiting here, i could have driven to my old urgent care place in chicago and i would be being seen by a doctor right now. i will be looking for another urgent care facility in nwi after this experience. its a shame because this one is five minutes from my house :( read more

The place is cramped and under staffed. My visit there was greeted by at least 3 people in the waiting area that were suffering from some pretty nasty coughs. Although masks were at the counter, none were wearing them and the staff didnt request it either. My appointment was for 9:30 am and I walked out of that place at 11:35 am without seeing anyone. Came for a 12:00 appt and only waited 15 minutes, at our primary care doc we end up waiting 30-45 minutes before being seen. Dr. Anastasia was wonderful, she removed a skin tag from my daughter that has been irritating her for years. She was very professional and kept my daughter calm during the entire procedure!! New year, new me, so I thought it's time to stop just taking from Yelp, and write a review. Last month I took my 74 year old father here while visiting his cousins in Indiana. He had a terrible cough and felt horrible. Like many others have stated, the wait time is ridiculous, I actually felt bad for all the staff members here, they work extremely hard, but they need to hire more people. So, if I could, I would give the wait time 2 stars. The reason for the 4 star rating is because of the staff. Dr. Meridith was absolutely wonderful, giving us her undivided attention and listening to my father's concerns. She diagnosed his cough as Bronchitis, gave us the appropriate medicine, plus educated us on some other things we could do at home to make my dad more comfortable. I would return here if needed in the future, but only if they fix the waiting situation. read more
