Wayne Rudi Construction - Something sprayed on the roof perhaps to cover scratches they made? Just one of many areas of discoloration.

    Wayne Rudi Construction

    (1 review)

In 2013 we contracted with Wayne Rudi Construction to install a steel roof . The first thing that…read morehappened was the filter material in the roof cap vents kept getting blown out leaving an open gap in our attic. It took over a year for someone to come out to try to remedy the problem in November 2014. In April 2015, the problem continued and we were told he would be out in the next couple of weeks. A couple of weeks turned into more than two months. We also noticed that the roof cap was wavy and not a straight line. Rudi's employee Greg told me that the wrong size ridge cap and filter material was used. They also made some scratches in the roof that they were going to repair. In the Fall of 2018, I started to notice some areas of the roof that appeared to be fading. I went back to Rudi figuring the warranty would apply and I had documentation from Rudi indicating that he would cover labor. A year later, Rudi said he submitted pictures to the manufacturer and came out in August to inspect the roof. Since it was getting late in the season, Rudi said to expect to hear from him in April 2019. By late May, I still hadn't heard from him. After following up several times without any reply, I finally got a reply in August 2020 stating that the manufacturer would not be covering the warranty claim because someone sprayed something on the roof. Rudi denied spraying anything on the roof but my suspicions are that they spray painted the scratches and that paint started to fade. In October of 2020, Rudi said that he would have to replace the panels but of course, we would have to wait until Spring. In May of 2021, Rudi said that it would be around June to get the job done. After several unanswered follow-ups, I received a reply in August stating supply and costs issues. I tried to follow up in September, November 2021 and April, May 2022 with no replies from the company. In the meantime, my attic has become a stomping ground for mice as they have an open entry via the roof vent.
